Although I am FAR from being a teenager, I love this series! It grabbed me right from the beginning. This show is very well cast! Although it is somewhat of a fantasy, the acting made it truly kind of believable!! There are twists and turns with every episode which leaves you anxiously waiting for the next! I thought I had the murder solved with each episode, only to have my murderer proven to be not guilty. They left us hanging at the end, so this had better not be the end of the series. I'm looking forward to many of the puzzles being solved, questions being answered and more of the characters past lives and deaths being revealed.

How a season finale should be done!

There's no words for me to describe this season finale. I haven't seen anything like it, and the amount of mystery and drama put into this episode is through the roof. There's plot twists that you didn't even think was going to be a plot twist. The acting was raw and authentic, especially for Peyton expressing a side many didn't even think she had within her. The cinematic shots were also amazing too, similarly reminding me of Pretty Little Liars. Although they were made by the same creator, this show feels like a continuation onto the series, just a supernatural twist added on. Dare I say better than the reboot. Regardless, the writers and actors did a phenomenal job, let's just hope they get renewed for a second season!

This season finale (and hopefully not a series finale) caps off with a shockingly ingenious twist that I did not see coming from a mile away. Kudos to the writers and producers whom decided not to keep us guessing till next season, but instead laid the groundwork for a myriad of story possibilities for season 2 that I can't wait to see played out.
School Spirits has been nothing but a pleasant surprise during its rookie season with sharply drawn characters, superb acting and the perfect mix of mystery, suspense and humor that most shows in this genre only dream of. Do yourself a favor and watch this show.

The best high school show since the original Pretty Little Liars!! This is how you do a show and give it an ending most will never see coming. Including myself and I'm usually way ahead. Great diverse cast, but with no preachiness. These writers definitely deserve a raise!!!! Great mystery with lots of twist and turns. Excellent casting and excellent acting!! I really hope Paramount sees enough to give this a second season. I'm finding fewer and fewer new shows that just want to entertain and this is definitely one of them. Please bring this one back, and do not change the players behind the scenes in other words do not screw up season 2!!!

Never saw that plot twist coming! Thankfully I watched it before reading KingSlayer99's review. Loved the entire season!
One character did have me thinking it was them for quite a FEW episodes. I happy to see that I wasn't the only on that was blindsided by the season finale. The whodunnit style that ran the whole season, consistently and convincingly leading you in different directions were well thought out. Two thumbs up to the writers. Hopefully they are able to keep everyone that made this season so great. I can't wait to see where next season's journey takes us. FYI, I haven't been a teenager since the late 1900's... ok, the 1980's...lol.

Cheap mystery

I went into this with extremely low expectations and yet I was still somehow disappointed. I thought I was watching a fun little murder mystery, but oh no, we're all now gonna put our high school "spirits" together and fight this big bad evil together, and Maddie's "spirit" is gonna get back into her body so she can finally kiss Simon, and she can go patch things up with her mom and tell her that she forgives her, and then go and have some bff moment with Nicole, and they can all live happily ever after (I probably forgot a few other "feel-good" outcomes that will undoubtedly be very pleasing to the viewes).
Adding shock value and surprises is not hard when the writers can just literally change the rules in the last 10 mins of the show. Of course nobody saw it coming. How can you see it coming when it's literally out of the realm of possibility until the writers decide to change the entire scope? How is there any value in that?
A great mystery is one that sticks to its own rules and yet shocks you to your bone. One that makes you realize it was right there in front of you all along and yet you couldn't see it.
The show had some nice cinematography though. I'll give em that.
