Brilliant, except...

Warning: Spoilers
Look, if you want a huge twist mid-show, don't make it obvious from the start. Gabriel Howell is doing a great job as Elias. But making him wear blue contact lenses just makes it clear that he's the younger version of a different character. I mean, maybe it wasn't supposed to be a twist but I didn't see anything other than vague hints until this episode.

Aside from that, and the Ouroboros concept of his birth, I'm actually really loving the show. I have my theories on how it'll end but I freely admit there are multiple ways it could go. I also have a bunch of questions that I really hope will be answered in the final two episodes, nothing worse than being left hanging.

What a World Is That?
Hitchcoc10 December 2023
Everything in this episode centers around the cataclysmic explosion that will kill hundreds of thousands of people. We know who is responsible and who can stop it. But now all principles have faced the possibility of their demises. The future of much of life is put in the hands of a messed up kid who has been abused his whole life and who will reign in some form in the future. There are several killings, arrests, possible executions, and tense moments. We also are made aware of the actual portal through which characters pass to other years. There is some satisfaction for us, but we don't know what is real and what is not.

Tuned out

Thee murders and one attempted murder committed in the same way at 4 different points in time, 1890, 1941, 2023 and 2053. One detective (two male and two female) trying to find out who did it. That's what we learn in episode one and the beginning of episode 2. For the rest of episode 2, the action and development of the story should be cranked up so we are hooked. This has not happened for me. The recurring phrase (Know you are loved) is used in a threatening and sinister way. Sometimes followed by someone dying. So for the sake of another few characters: Know you are loved, Know you are loved, Know you are loved.

For the acting
pasmwut25 December 2023
This is probably the "big" episode in the series. But the acting really stood out to me. This show in my opinion cost it's self a much better score in the first half of the pilot and much of the 1941 stuff. The music in the pilot and many of 1941 is just the wrong tone for the show.

I think this episode was my favorite because I knew how it would end based on everything and the episode name. But even knowing how it would end in the episode I still loved how it all weaves together. I know what this show is and who made it but it's an enjoyable hang and has some very awesome moments in every episode for at least a big scene.

Dropped the ball

Here's were this flimsy story comes apart. Even buying the time travel via a giant infrared hairdryer, it's hard to believe that such a complex plan should rest on the shoulders of a moody teenager with mummy issues.

However, Motherly Detective does exactly what I was expecting from episode one, namely behaves too motherly and mumbles second-rate dialogue such as "You're not that type of person (who causes a nuclear explosion)"

Who would be that kind of person with that kind of power? And how do you know what type of person Elias is, since you met him only twice in connection with violent crimes?

More preposterous dialogue later, the 1890 and 1941 timelines find their epilogue, albeit is never really clear why they happen that way. The 1941 is especially obscure, since Polly and Elias were eventually going to die soon and didn't need any push down that road.
