What a fantastic episode, two old blokes not catching many fish but lifting the mood in these troubled times.
What a joy it is to see both Paul & Bob visit some of the most beautiful scenery not just in the UK but the world. This show has always been a gem nestled in the BBC's schedule, with its simple premise of one comedy legend trying to help another comedy giant (that's talent not height!) out of a dark place in his life after a major health scare. For anyone in the uk of a certain age both of these men are truly in the category of national treasures, filling so much of the late 80's , 90's & beyond with comedy gold.
With a gentle soundtrack & panoramic scenery shots that take you from stunning view to stunning view it warms the sole add in the chemistry between these two long time friends just bouncing off each other I for one find myself crying with laughter on a regular basis.
This episode is a real highlight for me but it does close on a very sad note personally for Paul Whitehouse and as a fan I wish him & his family my deepest sympathy's .
As a fan of this show I await the next episode with the eagerness of a small child each week just to see what these two old geezers get up to whilst wading in water.
Long may they stay healthy (or just health enough to avoid anymore heart problems whilst indulging in some pocket meat or builders butter beans 😂)
