A harsh reality, gently told Warning: Spoilers
While I'm not from Ecuador, many children from my country live a very similar situation to the story narrated here: Stuff we take for granted, such as kids going to school to learn is much more difficult in the small towns from the mountain range, far away from the cities.

Said towns are often neglected by the government, with many kids suffering the most basic needs: This is the harsh reality media either ignores or exploits, and certainly not the side of reality tourist pamphlets would ever dare to show to the people visiting Latin America during their vacations.

A sad reality which is very gently told here, with an aesthetic similar to a film made by Pixar or Disney. It has a lot of heartfelt optimism, but it we mustn't forget life isn't so simple for many people out there.

It is also up to us to deal with this type of problem instead of perpetually waiting for others to solve it; national pride should not be limited to sports fanaticism while many of our compatriots are treated as second-class citizens.
