Parenting is hard, Oh Yeah!

Ive always had a soft spot for Duffman as a background character so its nice to see him getting an episode. The concept of him losing relevance in the current year. Having him reconnect with his daughter and comparison to Homer and Lisa's relationship is cute, though its a plot thats been done before in the show and better. Along with Duffman's own story getting a bit rushed near the end since we barely see his own daughter until the third act.

Simpsons has had a few episode about father reconnecting or relating to their kids. Typically with Homer or Lisa being involved and compared to past episodes it doesn't really hold a candle but is atleast entertaining enough with the Duffman.

Mixed Thoughts

Warning: Spoilers
This one was as I said a "mixed bag", it was a heartwarming story for Homer and Lisa, but not so much for Duffman and Amber.

It was nice to see Homer try to be a good Dad, and while he did use Lisa just to appease Duffman, he did realize the error of his ways, and the epilogue scene with them at the museum was really sweet.

With Duffman and Amber on the other hand though, it just didn't feel as satisfying. While it was nice to see them try to patch things up, it just felt pretty rushed and hollow. Because one scene they are on good terms again, then the next he's telling his other "estranged daughters" to hit him up, to which Amber does not sound too enthused about. If they plan to have another episode about these two, they should focus more on their relationship and less on other stuff.
