With his unique brand of youthful storytelling Donald Glover brings down the house in his hysterical stand-up special Weirdo.
Of course, most people know Donald Glover from "Community". They may know him from some Internet skits, or possibly his rap persona Childish Gambino, but it all more or less leads back to "Community". So it is great to see him branching out a bit.
The comedy here is quite good, with the topic of race coming up without ever getting too heavy. Glover speaks to his generation in a way that Eddie Murphy or Bill Cosby never could. He does good voices, and also has more than his share of valuable insights. If he came through here, he would be a big hit.
