First, I have to admit I love the series, the rhythm, the change in sceneries and the eclectic characters. Also Love the briefs on antiques and history, great additions to the typical murder series.

Not sure about the son's constant rage.

And then the police told the housekeeper to go and stay at her cottage; however, when the son arrived, she was conveniently there in the main house.

Also I was thinking at one point how come there is a housekeeper and the kitchen towel holder was empty; then in the next scene, there was a roll of kitchen towels being used almost to its end.

Details details details.

Otherwise, great job!

Enjoyed it - couple of amusing bits

There are a couple of funny moments to balance out the drama, which I always love to see. I generally prefer this season so far, (a) it is focusing on the over 50s more as not many mystery shows do that plus having less characters is actually better in short 45 min episodes ... and (b) whilst I loved the big story arc of Season 1, I'm enjoying this being more like one-offs now the characters are established - it is also better for rewatching / repeats later on. I'd skip some episodes but definitely put this on the watch again list. I also enjoy more french language in this run, but the subtitles and show title font could be clearer - white on a bright set doesn't always show up.

Not one of the better episodes

Warning: Spoilers
I generally like this series but this episode was a bit disappointing. First, Caron has gone to lengths to tell Jean that she is just a consultant and now suddenly he is asking her to join him in a stakeout and allowing Dom to just hang out with them. Also, the "I know this key has something to do with the answer" gets old after awhile. Plus this weird flirty thing with Gloria felt stilted. Finally, I just don't believe that Dom wouldn't tell Jean about helping the Lloyds. Also, still not sure why this was such a big deal, she has in the past taken "unauthorized" photos so now why suddenly this character is acting like what he did was potentially containing evidence, seems very disingenuous... like they just needed a reason to cause a rift between the two of them.

Episode 2.4

Warning: Spoilers
Jeremy and Judith have purchased a large country mansion as an investment. They have arrived to refurbish it themselves.

Only to hear a gunshot and they find the body of Robert Coste. He sold the house to the Lloyd James's and planned to reside in Paris with his housekeeper.

Coste had just changed his will that would cut out his middle aged son who still lives with him. His neighbour Flora had witnessed it the night before.

No surprise that the arrogant son becomes the main suspect. Jean though ends up assisting Caron. She finds a key that might unlock an important clue.

The Madame Blanc Mysteries is never too taxing. You have to wonder why a French suspect is being interrogated in English and later another one in French.

At least this story is more layered, with two other possible suspects. Then again there really could had been three suspects given the guest cast.
