While not the best, I still liked "The Launch Acceleration" ep of "The Big Bang Theory" enough to say "worth a look"

Warning: Spoilers
In this ep of "The Big Bang Theory": Well, Howard gets a call from NASA telling him his mission is canceled. He seems disappointed...until he hangs up and exults in waiting to die while in his 50s and eating pastrami sandwiches! Meanwhile, Amy invites Sheldon to her apartment for dinner, which consists of some of his childhood favorites like milk mixed in pink Quick mix and spaghetti mixed with hot dogs which Sheldon recognizes as Amy's attempts to make her more appealing to him which he doesn't like...or does he? Oh, and Leonard and Penny take things a little quicker, if you know what mean...While not as good as the last few, this was a still funny enough ep of "The Big Bang Theory". Especially when we finally meet Bernadette's father who we find out didn't initially like his future son-in-law but had a change of heart when finding out about his profession. Oh, and Amy is really getting to Sheldon isn't she? So on that note, "The Launch Accleration" is a good enough ep of "The Big Bang Theory".

One of the best episodes Warning: Spoilers
This episode had a lot going for it and I enjoyed it so much. I am absolutely obsessed with this show, so I really can't rate it badly or find much wrong with it, but this episode blew me away. I am a person who likes huge surprises and this one contained a huge one. I knew before watching that Leonard would say something in bed, but I had no idea of the magnitude! I literally screamed at the television OMG when they came out of the bedroom. I was so upset because I knew it would ruin the relationship, but luckily it didn't. The end was a little weird but I was happy that it worked out (for how long I don't know). I also loved that she said no after kissing him, that was a surprise. From her first reaction I thought she'd say yes. They cannot get married YET, the show must go on and all shows end soon after the main character gets married. I think the dynamic between Penny and Leonard needs to build up more like it did in this episode. it has been a little bland with the whole "beta test" so this spice up was excellent! As for the Sheldon Amy Dynamic, I absolutely loved it. I thought she really got to him and some of the references were great. I love how she's changing Sheldon as a character. He, while probably one of the greatest characters of all time, is gaining even more depth and I really like that. He's clearly not INCAPABLE of feelings and social interactions. I love Amy's desire, needs, perversion and just altogether awesomeness. She really adds to the show and they need more of her. I also love her dynamic with Penny, even if that wasn't so much in this episode.

I think Howard has some really great qualities, but the focus on him was a little too much, that story line is a little dull, but his reactions were awesome. The writers did a much better job with his story in the previous episode though.

Raj is so funny and playing up the gay thing has really been funny, I wish they had done more of that in this episode.

overall this episode ROCKED and so has the whole season with a few exceptions.

Snoozing

Warning: Spoilers
This Howard storyline has ruined this season , the characters at his best when hes trying to chat up women the whole concept of him getting married isn't even remotely funny or entertaining , and its not just his storyline the storyline with lenoard and penny needs to freaking stop i want her character written out of the show this arc is without a doubt the worst thing about the show its ruining what could be the best comedy show of all time.

Sheldon's storyline is the same just funnier because lets face it , its Sheldon. But still boring.

The last 2 episodes have been diabolical , and i used to love this freaking show hell I've gone back to season 1 just to forget about this BS season the worst thing about all of this though is howards nasa project , STOP DRAGGING IT GET HIM INTO SPACE GET HIM MARRIED and be done with it!

I miss Raj :( We are barely seeing him , hes so funny but the writers aren't giving him enough limelight.

RANT DONE.

The Launch Acceleration

Warning: Spoilers
I can't say the Howard storyline has grabbed me throughout the fifth series of the show. Maybe it's because the character hadn't really ever gone through enough development to become fully three-dimensional beforehand. It's well played out, but the whole thing here about him secretly not being excited about going into space felt like a jarring gear change.

The Penny/Leonard storyline was pretty much same old, same old where they are concerned. They have a problem, they resolve it - normally because Leonard caves into her, and we move on only to repeat this again in the next episode.

The Amy/Sheldon plot was slight but funny, and goodness knows where poor Raj went.

Fine if unspectacular overall.
