Maybe you will enjoy but be warned.

This is an ironic watch for me. I love bad Christian genre movies and this has it all; the worst acting I've ever seen and heavy handed self righteous messaging. So I knew it was a likely thumbs up for me. But I can't give a high review solely based on a movie's cathartic irony.

Other reviews are correct. The story is better than most Christian Scifi not based on the rapture.

But the acting... Good luck.

Great story, but who the h*ll directed this?
greyhoundmama26 September 2022
Like other comments expressed here, I stayed for the story, which was good. The little girl was actually capable of playing a charming and believable character. Everyone else in this movie seemed to be on Qualludes and barely able to read in a wooden monotone off a script written by a High School student. It was really that bad.

I don't know too much about filmmaking, but I know even small production are very expensive. Surely the investors were privy to some of the intitial scenes? They should have pulled and replaced whoever was in charge of the "acting". What a waste of a good storyline. !¡

Bad acting but good info on Annunaki.
alr-4228530 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Many here seem, overly occupied with the idea that this movie is a Christian idea. Actually its both the Annunaki story and how it became part or a version of the Christianity story. The question is are you open minded or closed. You can have your faith. But thru the years archeologists have discovered many many things to tell another story. Either way, it points to the fact that we have a creator. And that one day he will be back!

Horrible...
suprchunk22 August 2019
The christian over-, and undertone are evident. It seems like christian actors would at least try and be actors. The overall story is executed awfully. Seriously. Acting is bad, costuming is horribly off for the period they are trying to convey, and the subliminal proselytizing, which is hardly below the surface, is overdone. Terrible flick. Churches should be ashamed about taking donations to fund piles like this.

Christian propaganda
Leofwine_draca3 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
THE WATCHERS: REVELATION is a slice of Christian propaganda, made on an indie budget and masquerading as a sci-fi alien invasion flick. It's about an alien race visiting Earth, and only a nine year-old girl being able to ascertain their true intentions. Expect heavy-handed moralising, constant talking head footage, plenty of tiresome theorising, and no real story or incident to go with it.

Sinfully BAD acting
an_howard19 February 2021
While not my cup of tea in genres, I caught this flick with a friend who is really into Evangelical Christian doomsday themes. The storyline takes a pretty much standardized evangelical twist on the popular subject of extraterrestrials. Here, the assumed aliens are presented as actually being nefarious minions of Satan that try to dupe mankind into believing they are anything but that. The plot is actually somewhat interesting, though the "science" terminologies used in the dialogue is somewhat reminiscent of arcane 1950's scifi drivel. The film is naturally laden with lots of Holy roller overtures (understandable considering the genre), but what makes this one stand out from the others is the awful acting. And by this I mean every single person that had a speaking role. It was apparent the film makers didn't even try to cast someone with any knowledge about the skill involved, and neither did they care. This kind of disrespect for the audience is a sin in my opinion.

To put it bluntly, "The Watchers: Revelation" is a painful experience for the audience and one I never plan to endure again.

Please Stop.....
dbweathers1 January 2021
Mr. Dallis should stop now and never write, direct or produce anything again. Period. The acting in this travesty is nothing short of a grammar school play. I have no idea how a director could watch this taking place and be happy with it. There is no single pretender in this flick that could be called an actor. The story could be ok, if you can get past all the rest. Anyone rating this above two stars should never do another movie review.

Better then most religious themed movies
cindyslove794 July 2017
Movie is a b roll movie it was done on the cheap. But don't hold that against the movie. The acting not the greatest. Is obvious that several scenes were only filmed once but on a 50k budget you can't fault the movie for that one.

Story covers several themes based in history. Special effects nothing's Spectacular but enough to help the story.

Myself I'm all about the story itself. If it's acted well etc it s just a bonus but a nice one to be sure. The story was well thought out and well executed. Unlike many religious movies that go into ow you have to believe blah blah. I didn't really feel any of that religious bias in the story. It is Christian movie with a few out there theories but it was a unique one and strangely actually plausible. Unlike most movies like this one.when looking back at history it doesn't how to put it it picks its theoretical bs well.

Don't know if you will choose to watch this movie I know I had not planned on doing so. But I was pleasantly surprised. Ya the acting and camera work made some parts seem jumpy but don't hold it against the movie.

To me a movie is all about taking a story and making it visual rather then paper as reading a book to help you picture the story better. A tool and the story is the important part and this story was a good one.

Good approaching great Budgeted Christian Sci-Fi
freddie_l_richard14 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It seems that people down playing this movie didn't notice that it is Christian. No where, where it is being streamed or sold, is it Not listed under either Christian, Faith etc. For a low budget movie the acting isn't annoying or bad but very play like, reminding you of going to a small off broadway production. the director apparently didn't believe in reshooting scenes. The story has actually been around for will over one or two centuries (someone told me once but I can't remember when aliens are demons was first theorized.) If it would have had the smallest amount of post production editing I think it would have rocked.

Great plot

A good story, but the acting is really bad. It explores the different points of view between extraterrestes and angels.

This is a B movie and written like that
There is no way that with the worst of actors, you'd get such wooden acting from all of them.

This must be deliberate.

When you understand that, then it is clear that is the story that matters. And a very powerful story at that.
