Warning: Spoilers
Saad and Docherty back in for the Blues. Rotham on Curnow... jeez, gamble with McKay who's got his accuracy woes you'd reckon. All too easy for Curnow and McKay, Carlton out to a handy 21-point lead at quarter time. Duggan woeful. Simpson does nothing as usual, short of players blah blah. The Eagles lift a little, before Curnow goals from the boundary for his fourth, the Blues up 40 at the half. Camera view's too close. Bloody coach allowing Curnow to kick 6 halfway through the 3rd... Drop a player off and double him the whole game or have Barrass stick on him disregarding the action, this is ridiculous. The Eagles aren't even dropping players back and have kicked all of 3 goals for the match. Carlton up 71 going into the last, a disgrace. Absolute smashing, joke of a coaching job. Carlton handily won the hit-outs and +6 in clearances, with considerably more of the footy, yet still applied 19 more tackles. The Eagles with 66% disposal efficiency and they pass backwards all game. The Blues with 22 more inside 50's, for 23 more scoring shots and kicked accurately. Charlie Curnow best afield, with 18 disposals, 8 contested marks, 475 metres gained, 2 assists and 9 goals. Cerra 30 disposals, 5 inside 50's, 8 tackles, 524 metres gained, a goal and 3 assists. Cripps 33 disposals, 23 of them contested, 8 clearances, 8 tackles, a goal and an assist. Newman 34 disposals, 5 tackles, 6 intercepts, 471 metres gained and a goal. Hewett 32 disposals, 6 clearances, 5 inside 50's and 8 tackles.

3. (Carl) C. Curnow, 2. (Carl) A. Cerra, 1. (Carl) P. Cripps.
