Against the war
giuseppesmorto29 December 2023
Semidei is a documentary that traces half a century of history by narrating the two best-preserved bronze statues in the world: the two mysterious warriors who re-emerged from the sea at Riace in 1972, after two thousand years underwater. Original interviews and documents, first-hand accounts and the tale of a present in turmoil will be at the heart of this journey. The Riace Bronzes represent our past but, like everything that has been lost and then rediscovered, they also embody the desires for the future, peace and beauty, that have always animated mankind. You can find the two statues in the Archeogical Museum of Reggio Calabria, in the extreme south of Italy.
