Captain Mayuri, I guess it's time for you to shine, because the Zombies are here...

Bleach TYBW Season 2 Episode 9 "Marching out the Zombies"

It was a really good episode, I enjoyed it so far, it has really great moments as well, but yeah wasn't the best in this cour, but it was good. I liked the dialogues in this episode, the plot points, more interesting informations.

The action was solid in this episode, nothing special, but it was alright. I like the new battle pairings, like Renji and Rukia vs BazzB, Mayuri and Nemu vs Zombie Gigi and the zombies (like Bambieta and my favourite captain and the end of the episode..., damn I can't believe that he is also a Zombie, I'm sad..)

But lets be honest, Mayuri was the MVP here..., I mean, he's one of the true MVP for this entire arc, really a genius (After Kisuke haha). One my favourite character for sure.

"I toned down my greatness so mortals can see me." - I liked this line so much.

And guys YORUICHI the Queen of Bleach is back, It's really good to see her again.

And yeah our Trio Ichigo, Orihime and Chad is ready to go to the Royal Palace, with Kisuke help. Okay why not, make sense because they want to stop Ishida.., so guys good luck! Ichigo's growth was depicted with great maturity.

And there was a big Reveal with Giselle..., oh wow, good job Yumichika you are not a stupid guy, so appreciate that.

And a controversial topic.., the Return of the Arrancars..., I honestly didn't miss them at all, but make sense after Mayuri explanation. I'm not that mad about it, but I'm not happy either so let see what they can do.

I like many things about this episode, but the music choices was my favorite. That old tracks again, so many nostalgia!

I can't wait for the next one. Soon this second part will be over, and I hope that rest of the episodes will be great.

Marching Out the Zombies

This episode may not have serious fights, but I really enjoyed this episode. The comedy, shocking returns, the appearance of Mayuri finally stepping in the battlefield, a grand setup for a major development.

Giselle really showcased her abilities and should not be disregarded. And I know Bambi fans had a hard time watching this episode. Although there were scenes not included from the Manga, this is still an enjoyable episode. I watched it three times already, just to get back on small details and those hilarious moments.

Renji and Bazz-B, Charlotte and Yumichika, these moments were really funny as hell. Especially Charlotte, great voice acting and carrying the lines really lighten up the mood. It may not have a post credit scene but the ending part really was a shocker and made a lot of first time watchers confused. It really ended in a great note.

This and the next episode are the only ones that had the same title, since they based it of the Manga, the zombie mayhem continues and I cannot wait for the next episode.

BATTLE OF THE ZOMBIES BEGINS!
officialachuyut13 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Episode begins with the aftermath of Yhwach's ascension to the royal palace, with a significant visual improvement from the previous episode. Ichigo converses with Chad & Orihime about Uryu in a touching scene. Before Kisuke arrives and takes them in

Meanwhile an eccentric Mayuri arrives on the battlefield to take on the necrophiliac Giselle. After some trash talk the fight begins, nothing spectacular until a few fallen arrancar make their comeback in an amazing bit of foreshadowing from an earlier episode. They seemingly make quick work of the zombified shinigami and Bambietta before a zombie Toshiro appears, explaining the shadow which approached him after his fight against Cang-Du.

There was a lack of action in this episode compared to the rest of the season which allows you to breathe for once. It aso focused more on the characters with some humourous exchanges. Overall great episode.

Very disturbing to watch

Warning: Spoilers
Fan favorite girl treated in the most malicious way possible, a huge punch to the face to all of her fans. First killed her by beating her up to death, then turned her into a zombie, then cut her arm off, vaporize her with Lazer, using her as a meat shield, and treat her in all around the worst possible way. You would imagine a character the author intentionally designed to catch the audience's heart will be treated better, but she is the worst treated character in all anime I know. This episode alone is enough to make people drop the show entirely.

The purpose of all this? Not sure. The studio and Kubo agreed to turn her into a punching bag for everyone to cut her and beat her up, and made sure that she will never become human again, Kubo staffs confirming other character turning into Zombie will return back to normal, but for Bambietta, it seems like it is nearly confirmed she will never turn back into a human and will be used as a punching bag for the rest of her life. You would even start to think what the author and studio has against this girl that made them treat her like this.

As a viewer who really liked this character and didn't really care much for a pretty average story, this was enough to make me really dislike the show. The story was already just fighting the foes who came for revenge, and its all about just massacring the "enemy." And this enemy included the girl I guess who was beaten to death. The story makes it very dark by killing this girl who was probably what made the story light.
