The Four Elements (1966)

** 1/2 (out of 4)

Director Curtis Harrington was pretty much a gun-for-hire with this thirteen minute short from the U.S. Information Agency. The film pretty much covers how water being blocked by a dam can create energy, which in return can help coal miner's see. The coal allows people to make steal, which allows.... I think you get the point. It's doubtful that anyone other than Harrington fans are going to want to check this educational film out and it's even more doubtful that his fans are going to find anything overly special here. He certainly does a good job telling the story that's needing to be told but at the same time it's pretty straight-forward without any of his signature touches.
