ITV have clearly waited to do this tribute to the late Paul O'Grady with the respect and dignity it deserved.
It's a shame then that it doesn't end up being much good.
It's too long, it's unbalanced in terms of its focus, and there's a distinct lack of variety in terms of the talking heads. It's far too sombre too.
I was disappointed that a great deal of the focus was on Lily Savage and not Paul's other works either.
Overall, this was fine but not as special as it should and indeed could have been. It was billed as this big Easter treat by ITV, but as is so often the way with them, it fell flat.
