"Mines Bigger"

Warning: Spoilers
6 episodes in season 3 is shaping up to be another good season for Arrow. And even thought the episode didn't do a whole lot for the over-arcing story, it gave us a lot of good character depth. It also included the famous boxing glove trick arrow that is prominent in the Green Arrow mythos.

Tonight focused on a few sidekicks. One being Ted Grant's former vigilante sidekick turned murdering psychopath and the other of course being Roy AKA Arsenal. Roy has been struggling with nightmares involving him apparently killing Sara. Thus having Ollie choose to sit Roy out for awhile. As much as I have liked the Roy character this season, seeing Arrow on his own in the field again was cool. After all it has been a long time since he hasn't been working with Canary or Arsenal. As I said last week, I have never believed that Roy actually killed Sara so i'm glad they didn't go that route. With that being said I liked the emotional scenes between Ollie and Roy, that was until Roy did his infamous season 2 dramatic exit. But this also does bring up the question of whether or not Slade is having repercussions and although Roy's didn't turn out to be real, does it leave the door open for Slade escaping?

I also happened to really enjoy Ted Grant this week. His character has been weak thus far but JR Ramirez definitely brought his A game this week. It was also a funny touch when Arrow completely ignored him asking how many sidekicks he has. It was definitely a Batman thing to do. And who didn't love the "mines bigger" moment. Grant's sidekick turned criminal was forgettable, but it didn't matter because he wasn't really the main focus. The flashbacks weren't anything special either but Ollie's relationship with Yamashiro's family has become increasingly interesting. And as far as the ending goes, I found it to be cheesy and tonally off. I'm not sure how Cupid fits in with the story but we shall see. One last thing, Arrow and Flash need to stop taking off their masks in public, it's idiotic.

+Boxing glove trick arrow!

+Ted Grant's history

+Arsenal!

+Arrow in the field by himself again

+Sidekick heavy story

-Roy's dramatic exit

-Laurel needs to train for years to be ready

Ollie proves to be a massive hypocrite

Warning: Spoilers
Ollie proves to be a massive hypocrite Oliver queen had a few scenes in this that really annoyed me. He chastises Wildcat for his partner killing a drug dealer and for taking up being a vigilante. When Oliver butchered and murdered his way through half of the elite in starling city in the first season? I kept expecting someone to point out this massive uncomfortable fact but no one did? Are the writers trying to retcon this out of the arrow 's history now he's a non lethal vigilante?hoping we'd all forget the first season blood bath. Found my self hoping wildcat would punch the smug ,superior look off arrow's serial killing face

not a great ep
