Very short and mostly clumsy

"Naked" is a French live action short film from 2014 that runs for slightly under four minutes and considerably more than than 30 seconds of that are closing credits, so not a long film by any means. This one has its 5th anniversary this year and since its release (according to imdb) writer and director Laurent Pratlong has not worked on any new projects. Actually, this was almost his rookie project, so no idea if he will ever return to filmmaking. His cast here is more prolific. The lead actress for example has been in quite a few projects in rcenet years. And even if I said that at under 4 minutes, this is a pretty short film, the plot is barely enough for that as in terms of actual action here we don't have a lot more than a minute. The rest is showing us the same one secen from different perspectives and camera angles. We have a group of hunters in a forest who find a naked girl lying on the ground. But things do not develop as expected like them asking her what she is doing there or them even being a danger to her. The opposite is the case, namely for whatever reason they run from her although they are much stronger than her and have a wild animal with them. Why a wolf and not a dog by the way? Some mysterious aspects to this one we have here. What wasn's mysterious though was the final shot of her biting intok an apple that lay there on the ground (what a coincidence) and posing as Eva from the Bible. Now that really did feel pretentious. All in all, the film has some positive aspects though. The slow motion narrative worked mostly, the music was good too. All you hear from beginning to end for this one is a soundtrack, so don't worry if you don't speak French. You won't need any subtitles as none of the characters opens their mouth to talk. All in all, I was not won over though by this project. The close shots of her breasts, butt and vagina also added nothing for me in terms of creativity, just explicitness to get perhaps more straight males interested in this one or have them forget about the film#s flaws. I don't think this one is worth checking out though and I am kinda glad itw as this short because it isn't good enough. Watch something else instead.

The premise is as simple as it sounds.

Warning: Spoilers
As you may know, I am a guy; as you may not, I am in fact single. And what us single guys do when we're all alone in a room (most likely our own) is go on our computers, look at and watch the most obvious subject for entertainment, pornography. Now before I go on, I will admit that I had been watching a lot of stuff involving said subject; I won't be giving the name of the website as you will have to find that out on your own. So, while doing just that, I happened to come across a thumbnail to this supposed short film. I then clicked on it and watched the video. I will now say that this film actually got to me.

This film was directed by Laurent Pratlong (who apparently hasn't done very much else), and it is at least three years old by now. The film opens with four hunters, along with a praying woman, as they wander in the woods along with a wolf. Being that this is a short film, there really is nothing much to spoil: What happens specifically is that the five of them come across a young girl lying down fetal position among the ground. As soon as she awakens, the girl stands up as she slowly walks forth while, of course, out in the open. Witnessing this, however, the four hunters, the four hunters, the praying woman, and the wolf are apparently terrified by this as they immediately flee.

Being not that important, I won't be going into detail on how it ends. I said before, this really got to me. The film stars Margot Lourdet as the titular naked girl; granted there isn't really a star in this, I'm not exaggerating when I say that said actress is the main star. As soon as she appeared on screen, my heart practically pounded. I wasn't sure what was to happen, but I was sure that it would be something spectacular to the eye. As seconds went by, I realized that I was absolutely correct. Zero punches are pulled as we are shown every single inch of this young lady, from the roof of her head down to her toes; the viewer is left to admire the beauty of her figure. This is not a motion picture of any kind, it is a short art-film.

A poorly done short that fails to get across it's message.
GrungeFringe28 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This movie attempts to get a very simple message across in its 4 minute runtime. Not only is the execution of this message hamhanded and in-your-face to an almost comedic level, but apparently it's somehow simultaneously too obscured by the cinematography of the piece for my fellow reviewers to pick up on.

If you watched this and didn't manage to pick up on it, the director is trying to comment on how society fears female power, particularly their sexual power. Could be something interesting there, right? Well you'd be wrong, because like Mr Lbarlane24, the director was too busy masturbating to the protagonist's exposed body to actually put anything of quality in this short. The close-up shots of her privates completely fail to indicate her sexual power and instead work to objectify her, regardless of the unintentionally comedic intercut reactions of fear from some male hunters, a religious woman and a dog all working to try and convince you that she is in fact at the top of the hierarchy instead of an object of the male gaze. The short ends with yet another piece of unintentional comedy, with our protagonist picking up an apple from the ground and biting into it, invoking the biblical image of Eve eating the forbidden fruit, suggesting at the danger of women and providing a reason for the people to fear her. So is her power a negative thing, are the hunters representing all men, the religious woman representing all faiths and the dog representing all of nature right to fear her then? Who knows, certainly not the director, passed out of the grass after busting a fat nut to his film.

The short fails its attempt at showing female power. The short fails to get across its message in a non-muddled way. Apparently the only thing that the short doesn't fail at is providing erotic material for LBarlane24 and the 5 people who found his review useful to masturbate to.
