Both Stories had More Potential than they Delivered,

Paths of Glory is a good Simpsons episode with a well written storyline and some funny scenes. It definitely had plenty of good moments, seeing Marge and Homer completely convinced that Bart is a sociopath certainly had me laughing, and I think Chief Wiggum's appearance was the highlight, as he has a new found love for tap dancing and shocks Marge by incorrectly telling her that her son is dead. The episode starts off seeming like Lisa is the main character, and I think her idea of searching for a creation by Springfield's first female inventor had a lot of potential, but that story is pretty much thrown in to the gutter once Bart's story comes in to fruition, and they just had a few more scenes to wrap it up, it stresses me out that they would waste a promising story like this. As for Bart's story, though it was quite funny, it's all over the place, it takes a long time for it to get anywhere, but once it does, you'll be scratching your head at how it actually went that far. It certainly has some good moments, but Paths of Glory has two great stories that had a lot of potential, and simply fell flat because they were both thrown in to one episode, given neither enough space to develop, a very forgetful Simpsons.

Lisa tries to save the reputation of Springfield's first female inventor, while Marge and Homer suspect that Bart could be a sociopath.
