Bees are a very vital part of Earth's ecosystem.

Besides pollinating many of the plants upon which we all depend, they also fly around stinging bad people. These are some of the attributes of these busy insects highlighted during Bullwinkle's Corner: THE BEE. As the middle segment of this show's Season 2, Episode 30, THE BEE reflects an important moment of Human History, as well. As Sir Isaac was trying to catch 40 winks under an apple tree, a red orb was dislodged by a swarm of off-course bees, striking Isaac smack dab in the middle of his forehead. Though many of his contemporaries would be angry at such a development, Isaac was inspired to pen the poem Bullwinkle recites here. Serendipity sometimes is sweeter than honey.

Some of this material is controversial.

Take THE FOX AND THE THREE MINKS. Not unlike deer, elk and moose, mink is both a singular and plural term. Therefore, it is just as improper to say "minks" as it would be to reference "mooses." Furthermore, the Modern World deems mink coats to be barbaric when worn by humans. This is why the Mink's Revenge is considered to be poetic justice. When people learned that mink could "catch" the corona bug, many mink "farms" exterminated their "livestock." But the farmers themselves seem too dense to realize that mink savants rubbed their heads together, and came up with the pandemic as a means of exacting payback for centuries of abuse at the hands of vicious furriers. That's why the fox depicted here is perceived as such a villain by Today's populace.

Weather and Yon

Bullwinkle finally knows why he is on the island. He is expected to make valuable predictions. When it is found out he can only predict the weather, he is to be executed. Rocky and Peachfuzz are bumbling their way to the island. The Aesop fable is about the fox and the three minks. A fox chases the poor creatures all over, hoping to make expensive coats out of them. Peabody and Sherman continue their racist missions as they seek out Sitting Bull.

The misguided humans of Yesteryear . . .

. . . used to resort of all manner of crazed "theories" to predict the future. Millions of perfectly healthy farm animals were slaughtered to enable self-proclaimed "wizards" a chance to foretell coming events via examination of the poor critters' innards. Other so-called soothsayers "read" bumps on their neighbors' noggins, or lines on the palms of paying customers' hands, in order to "predict" oncoming history. Once the industries of salvaging bones from dead animals, manufacturing dice and constructing "playing" cards took hold, all of these devil's playthings were put into use to gamble on the outcomes of tomorrow and tomorrow. Some crazed elements of the populace even strained their eyes to discover planets and link random stars into "constellations" while alleging that these unbelievably distant astronomical anomalies somehow "influenced" the lives of Earthlings. Therefore, when Bullwinkle's WIZARD BIZ involves giant birds laying fortune cookie eggs, it smacks of "breaking news."

. . . "Aesop and Son" segment, Papa A. Says that the moral of THE FOX AND THE THREE MINKS is "United we stand, divided we fall." When Abe Lincoln incorporated this Truth into America's Constitution, he doubtless foresaw the plight of the U. S. Blue States Today. However, a native New York-Er is about to end the raw deal from which his and the 19 other Loyal Patriotic parts of America have been suffering since the times of J. W. Booth. These 20 put-upon ""Donor" states have been suffering for decades at the hands of the ill-gotten Red States, who continually demand more than their share of the government revenue for their incessant hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, insect invasions and whatnot. The Deal Maker fox has said this month that he will ignore Article 5 and encourage Russia to invade the turf of these malcontent minks for not paying enough dues to cover the costs of Common Sense Defense against the swamp plagues to which they are so prone.
