Another Masterpiece

Warning: Spoilers
I too have been a devoted fan of NCIS since it's inception. While it is always a great watch with an outstanding cast, great writing and directing, there are a handful of truly special episodes, and Scope is one of these.

Taye Diggs is a perfect choice to play a wounded sniper. His understated performance hits a perfect note (no pun intended), and we also get to enjoy his singing in a moving closing sequence.

Tony continues to grow, and Mark Harmon's portrayal of a healing Gibbs continues to be quietly masterful.

Also some really good bits to ponder, and one special question answered. Do not miss this episode!

I'm not sure I have ever been as affected by a television show as I was with this one.

NCIS and the way it is dealing not only with this soldiers healing, but the long, long delayed healing by Gibbs is just wonderful, truly wonderful. I flat out busted out crying and could not stop.

There have been a few books/films/music that have stayed with me forever, I expect this will be one of them. Kudos.

Wonderful Intense

I have loved NCIS for many years now and it's my go to show. I have seen many of the episodes multiple times, but tonight was the first time watching this Particular one. Being a veteran myself and seeing first hand the effects of PTSD, this hit home. Taye is a wonderful actor and complimented Gibbs and the cast quite nicely. I went through a mess of emotions with this one and this has moved to the top of my list for favorite NCIS episodes. It was so nice to see how Gibbs was reached on a whole new level!

Breathing Again

Warning: Spoilers
So many of NCIS' past episodes attempted to tell the story of veterans.

They touched on the injuries, but rarely on the healing. Veterans come home to so many additional injuries than the physical, mental, and emotional ones sustained on the battlefield. When we come home, we often face additional issues involving family, career, financial, and even ourselves, things for which we never trained, and which we often find more challenging than ever.

Thank you, NCIS, for Scope, for bringing things into perspective, that we can indeed go on, no matter how dark seem at the time. To all my brothers and sisters out there, hang on. The healing sometimes takes months, but often years. Never give up. Keep reaching out, and never stop.

Ike once said, "Neither a wise nor a brave man lies down on the tracks of history to wait for the train of the future to run over him." We owe it to ourselves and one another to exit the tracks and move on. Trust that time, life, new friends, new family, and God will tend our wounds, eventually bring our healing.

Scope is a wonderful episode, the best.

One of the best episodes

Warning: Spoilers
I've been following this show since S1E1, and it has it's ups and downs.

This episode tells some more things about the members that has yet to be told.

I like it when they tell more on how the veterans that were injured during their tours, recovers (or recovering) and the support they get to endure them.

Tony eventually had a night out with the guys.

Ever wondered why Gibbs is always sleeping on the couch?

:)

Theme

This episode is about focus and being out of focus when centered on wrong target. Memories are recurrent as every player deals with memories in different capacities. Our NCIS team is persistent through difficulties, emphasis on team and family.
