The Swingin' 6 Never Played The Fillmore East While I Was Working There
boblipton2 February 2024
The Swingin' 6, that well-groomed, nattily dressed singing combination of two girls and four boys, attempt to convince its audience that ZIP Codes are groovy. Will even an address by the almost symmetrical Lawrence F. O'Brien, Postmaster General of the United States convince the kids to use the numbers?

Part of the fun of looking at industrial films from the late 1960s is watching the inept way that organizations like the Post Office tried to co-opt the youth culture. We had just as much stupidities and as many shibboleths as our elders, but it took more than putting guitars into the hands of people under forty to convince us.
