... and it is not easy to say what. because it is a film who has all the premises to be a real good. a classic novel by Mauriac, good actors - Nicole Garcia is the best example - and a nice way to say the story. but, after its end, the only good memory is the confusion and the absence of coherence . and, maybe, forms of improvisation. so, good intentions and a story who has not the grace, force of seduction of the novel. and, without be a real sin, it represents the basic source of sadness abou this adaptation.
