This was a great episode where we have plenty of emotion and SOME good jokes. Actually did fall pretty short on comedy (given the circumstances of the story), but most of the jokes hit, unlike the rest of season 12. The Stuart storyline was nothing interesting or funny. But, we'll end on a positive note. I can definitively say that we got one of the best performances by Johnny Galecki in this episode.

Leading to Mothers Day weekend. This show spoke volumes while focusing on Leonard and his mothers relationship. It has been a long time since this show brought out a lot of emotion.
Not to mention Howard and Rajs moment at the airport. This episode showed there is hope for the ending, and finally put Sheldon on the backend of the episode.

First of all, i dont understand the people who refuse to understand in story/ any sitcom or movie it needs story arc it need more than nerdy moment funny moments. These episode capture emotions, for leonard emotions that kept so long it exploded. for beverly maybe a closure that she seeks (she constantly going to leonard meaning she wanted his approval too for he parenting good or bad). these moments is perfect to close out all 12 seasons about their relationship. Although the stuart moment was not too great its an ENDING for the character.

Nothing spectacular, nothing really new, but it was actually much better than average sitcom and similar type TV shows going on this months.
Those talking about 'time to finish this', 'cliche' and like never watched some other series ? You can not make it totally different just like that. Long term serials are like life - little evolution, little growing, little marriage up and downs ... But it is same person, and life goes to end at one point. Not to mention that actors, writers, producers and others have own lives, other interests . Initial enthusiasm simply can not last too long.
And yes, there was message 'series finale next Thursday ...' . Only 23 eps. this season ? - crossed my mind. Not, luckily - it will be double.
Well, I'm pretty positive about that farewell will be in style and on level.

The Big Bang Theory chose to use its pre-finale to wrap up the strained relationship between Leonard and his mother. Considering the finale will probably be a lot of Sheldon this was a smart move.

The roll of Leonard so heart wrenching! A riveting episode of Big Bang my favorite episode ever! Galecki takes just the script w/o expensive props or a huge production and literally pulls you into his heart! I've watched game of thrones all episodes of Big Bang and this season 12 episode 22 outshined them all! I really had not realized his tremendous talent and his range of roles till this one episode! You feel the anxiety his suffering! An Emmy Winner for sure!

Its been too seasons since they made a good watchable episode. This is show has aged and they are milking it. Unlike how i met... , office and friends, its so obvious that the actors are not motivated anymore especially "Sheldon" if you go back to earlier seasons he is far better and more "robotic" I really hope they end this season on a good note (even though it's been obvious how it's going to end just like every season for the past 5)

When Beverly comes to visit, she uses her usual domineering personality to belittle Leonard again. But this time there's more substance. Raj is going off to London to marry that self-centered woman just because he thinks it's his only chance. Howard steps in. It all plays out quite well.

This episode was nothing new.... we have been watching boring un- nerdy episodes like this for the past few seasons... all i want is a back to Basic episode focusing around Star Wars or something nerdy like that... unfortunately by now that's not going to happen again
