This music video tries way too hard to be cool, the best part is Nicki Minaj, she slays.

Warning: Spoilers
What we have here is the really new 2017 music video for the song "Swish Swish" by Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj. It runs for 6.5 minutes, so it isn't too short and was directed by Dave Meyers. I have no idea how successful it became sales-wise, but I did no like the song at all. Pointless lyrics, plus the required range is minimal and Perry is a way better singer than she showed us here. She was probably even weaker than Minaj and that means quite something as I am not a fan of the latter at all. It's also not a catchy tune really and it's kinda rare to see Perry come short in that area. Besides I really don't like the short hair on her and especially not short blond hair. The music video is slightly better than the song, but that doesn't mean something really. It's not good either. The entire thing takes place on a basketball court and it is the usual underdog story. Lost a bit respect in Perry here, but also in Molly Shannon and Terry Crews who I usually like, at least more than here where they play basketball coaches. Overall, this was absolutely nothing to be proud of, neither the video nor the audio. Massive thumbs-down from me.
