Definitely Not Good, But Not Bad

After watching this film. I could easily say the director, the technicians and the music composer are all very talented and are capable of coming up with a top-notch film in the future. But they are failed in this movie because of the silly story and below average screenplay. Coming to the cast, Varsha as the lead actress gave an 'OK' performance (though there is nothing significant to act), whereas Sharavan Mukesh looks pathetic (mainly because of the weak character role). Gregory and Hareesh gives 'some' relief here and there. The saving grace in this movie is the above average songs. Also, I felt the scriptwriter failed to utilize the potential of the actors like Sreenivasan, Indrans, Mukesh, Dharmajan in this movie. I watched this movie with ZERO expectations and therefore felt not that bad. Keeping that in mind, you could give it a try.

Nothing new as usuall love story with some mistakes in script songs are avg and bad direction and average camera works 1 time watchable movie

Capsule Review: Kalyanam

Do you ever get an idea that sounds good when you think about it but five minutes later sounds pathetic so you chuck it away? Kalyanam is based on one such idea that the makers may have got while attending a wedding of a friend. It talks about a guy who daydreams a married life with the woman of his dreams. When he's not daydreaming, he fools around with his good-for-nothing friend and maternal uncle and helps the writers take on idiotic side stories. There is not a single reason why you would sympathize with this character - he disrespects his parents, does not open a book, and spends all his time fanning his adolescent dreams. Both Shravan Mukesh and Varsha are debutantes here and going by their abysmal performances neither of them look promising. The blame is on the writers for writing a story that is so familiar that I can name at least three similar movies that released in 2017 alone. Direction is not great either, with only the talented supporting cast staying above waters. With occasional humor to its name and minutes of tireless romantic drivel, Kalyanam shoots itself with its gun. The primary premise itself is unsatisfactory let alone the performances and the treatment. Kalyanam is a waste of time, no doubt. TN.

Like father, like son

Saw this movie today and I must admit that Shravan Mukesh is his father's replica; the Great Mukesh! In a movie industry where all the awards only go to Mamooty and Mohanlal (two individuals who never genuinely give an opportunity to real talented actors to prosper), It's great to see that the real talent lies in the DNA of those children of actors who really were the best in their time. It's no secret how brilliant an actor Mukesh is and how little he has been recognized for it, compliments from 2 greedy so called superstars, but his son has proven that he will take over his father's baton and continue his great run!

Shravan Mukesh was simply brilliant in performance considering his less exposure to the big screen. He acted really well and totally unleashed his father's charm on screen. The story was fun, with lots of comedy and great background music.

I sure do hope this lad makes it big as I'm really looking forward to see him more on screen. I was very worried knowing that Mukesh was coming to the end of his career as movies are never the same without him, but now with Shravan stepping in, I see a ray of hope! Good luck Shravan!

Kalyanam is a romantic comedy film where Shravan Mukesh acts as the hero. he has done full justice to his character. varsha has acted as his opposite pair. The film is a a 2 hr fun movie wuth Mukesh and Srinivasan combo ,Hareesh kanaran and gregory in prominent roles. A small scene by Indrans will make your eyes wet through your amazing performance. You can watch thi smovie without any apprehensions and 2 hours of ultimate fun guaranteed
