Brill.... until about just after half way through

Warning: Spoilers
Well... the first part.. leads you in nicely... the usual handheld drivel... a nice walk round the farm with the creepy owners... Then the scares happened... and they were terrifying..... then.... it all went downhill.

Seriously, end it when he gets in to bed... don't watch the rest... and it's all good.

A guy in a gorilla suit does not a good film make!!!!

Look it's not the worst thing....

Actually. It's pretty close. I didn't actually have any expectations for this 'movie' so I was open to anything. It was just bizarre. Really weirdly filmed and documented and the acting.... the dogs did great! There's a positive. I'm usually keen to give anything a go, provided it meets some criteria. This was just so strange I couldn't take it seriously. Was it meant to be? Because I was giggling at the investigator's reactions and then his sound effects, then the weird props. I mean if it's meant to be an ironic parody of ghost hunting shows then sure this could work but even then it misses the mark. So so strange. Don't know what else to say.

Started of ok.

Warning: Spoilers
This film started out with promise but ended in disaster! Not sure what I watched to be honest but I wish I hadn't. I was looking forward to a ghost story and then they changed direction out of nowhere and suddenly it was a cult/monster movie that wasn't even well done.

It's a shame but that's how it is. I left the film thinking it was styled like a secondary school media project, seriously the films we all made at Uni during my film degree had much more going for them.

The scariest thing...
laurendailey-6774729 August 2019
The scariest thing, to me, about this movie is the fact that the main actor/investigator turned the bathroom faucet on with shaving cream on his hand. OCD speaking... The "orbs" he saw were clearly tons of dust from an old house and barn. You can literally see someone hunched over and smiling near the ground when he goes into the barn to investigate an open, swinging door. The clowns made me jump, but who wouldn't jump at that? I love found footage and documentary style horror films, but this was a disappointment. It started out ok, but it's down hill after about the first 10/15 minutes. The dogs were adorable.

Camp run of the year

Warning: Spoilers
This film started off with some promise despite the paranormal investigator being afraid of all paranormal activity. As you get into the film the plot starts to get stale as the tension never builds. There are a couple of good moments with some great use of basic effects. I found the end of the film incredibly annoying, who continually turns around whilst jogging away from a group of masked people.

What did I just watch.....

Warning: Spoilers
I swear the main actress, the wife of the farmer, was dead drunk the ENTIRE MOVIE. I literally couldn't not understand 90% of what she said.. And what's up with the random clowns???? They just appeared out of nowhere and the main character, the film maker, was just like AAAHHHH and then acted like it was totally normal to have men in scary clown masks to hang around someone's very rural farm... Several times I literally laughed out loud bc it was just plain ridiculous acting lol. He runs like you do in dreams, like in slow motion lol. I did jump at the first clowns sighting, Inwon't lie. My main question is why are the clowns there???? And that lady needs psychological help bc she likes standing random mannequins around her property... If I was the paranormal investigator, I would have run for the hills after the 1st clown sighting. Dude was just asking for it lol.

Quite outstanding.

Here is a real rarity, a found footage film which skilfully avoids so many of the standard tropes which have made the genre almost un-watchable these days. The protagonist is engaging from the start as the film rolls gently along. Then we enjoy some genuine spooky moments as the film moves along at a good pace. I would have liked to have been able to give the film a ten score but it does lose the way a little as the film draws to the end. All in all a sterling effort. Well acted, an interesting story, engaging characters, genuine chills. I look forward to seeing more by these guys.

Mildly - very mildly - enjoyable
Leofwine_draca7 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
PARANORMAL FARM is a mildly enjoyable British found footage indie horror flick about a lone paranormal investigator who takes himself and his camera to spend a night on a haunted farm. It starts out very typically with the drawn-out interview scenes and the like, but it soon gets fairly spooky with some night-time scenes that offer a couple of decent twists. The best thing about this production is the really satisfying ending which is filmic in nature and so much more than I was expecting; it really makes the best of the limited resources available.

Loved it but disappointing ending
fairlesssam4 February 2018
I thought this movie was superb. Carl Medland is extremely likeable, funny and engaging in this paranormal investigative movie. He is hired by a couple who have been experiencing strange things on their farm and the disappearance of their daughter. It is only his second paranormal investigative experience and is weird from the onset with a couple who are a little eccentric and quite evasive about details.

They take Carl down to the woodland where they had apparently seen a light, like the glow of a fire and think this is where their daughter disappeared from.

The couple go and stay in their little touring caravan while Carl begins his nighttime investigations.

This movie was engaging from the start, Carl's character is perfect, I love him, he's slightly camp, intelligent and very keen in helping the couple. I guess he's also quite naive and inexperienced. There were lots of detailed touches to the movie which helped build on the weirdness and creepy atmosphere.

The whole build up makes you really connect with Carl and you want him to be okay.

The ending was a little rushed and slightly disappointing after the beginning and middle parts being so polished. But all in all I loved it and for a budget of £200 I am very excited to see what Carl can do next.

Made me jump
deetrueman30 November 2018
Enjoyed watching this, made me jump a lot!

Loved Lucy! Reminded me of a farm lady I once knew, eccentric and an animal lover. I'd love to live on a farm! I grew up with my grandfather who had a farm and I loved it. Worked with horses all my life and hoped to have my own farm one day with livery's etc but sadly I fell ill with cancer, beat it but the treatment buggered up my spine so now I'm in a wheelchair. I can still ride though and still hope I'll get a farm!

Maybe I'll be like Lucy lol

I'd watch another of these just to see Lucy 😁 and the horses. But the dummies scan ed the hell out of me and there was some great jump scares in it. Can't wait to see no.2

As for the director I love him! Such a funny guy to watch.

Horrible Movie
poegrrl1 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This movie reminded me of a cheap JC's Haunted House. At first I thought ok pretty cool there was some tension filled moments until around the second half when the puking of the shaving cream yeah that's what did it for me. The ending was horrible and not on a good way. At first I thought the main character was great but then it was like ok then it was like OMG. The ending was horrible. If you have a fear of people dressed up with clown masks, manniguins and chainsaws this will be right up yer alley for me I will be going to sleep with the lights off. So there's my review for Paranormal Farm..

Orbs have never been so entertaining
willsbarnes1522 November 2018
Paranormal farm is a unique and significantly entertaining found footage horror layered with aspects of comedy, thriller and the paranormal. The performances all round are great from the couple Darren and Lucy especially considering it was all improvised and they were in fact not actors. However the man at the helm of this project Carl Medland is the real force of nature behind this hearty horror flick. Having met Carl I can understand that this film was a real passion project for him and upon rewatching it I can clearly see that nothing but enjoyment has gone into it, and for that I can't help but enjoy it myself, and for that I respect it greatly. If you're looking for a fun horror watch with a couple genuinely jumpy moments then paranormal farm is the film to watch. I feel like this film deserves a lot more popularity than it's getting!

The 9 star is for entertainment value only.

This movie is unintentionally hilarious. This is a perfect representation of a real life love child of Scooby Doo and Shaggy. Every horror movie cliche was attempted and made incredibly cheezy. Never scary always funny start to finish. I enjoyed this very much it's been along time since I've laughed this hard. Don't take it seriously, don't think of as a horror film sit back and enjoy.
