The main characters in the show are the driving force of this series and can carry episodes that aren't necessarily that fascinating from a case point of view. However, in this case the story/crime it interesting with guest spots by Jake Busey as an annoying shock jock and Drew Carey as a retired Marine who's driving force is sending care packages to active duty Marines. When a Marine is poisoned the package leads back to John Ross (Drew Carey). I thought Carey played a great role even to the point that I did a double take on whether it was him or not. I knew it had to be him by the voice, but the role and his portrayal threw me off. I hope he gets the opportunity to do more serious acting in the future. (I recall thinking the same about John Candy after JFK, but unfortunately he passed away much too soon).

This episode is a good start for showing that PTSD is a life long struggle and that people who suffer with it can deal and act as if it is ok when it really may not be.
Guest star Drew Carey did an outstanding job with his character. I had forgotten how well he could act.
Well acted, but I shut up on the murder mystery.

To start off immediately, "Handle with care" is an enjoyable NCIS that one can watch and not think what has my life become. It's light years away from awfulness, but isn't that strong on the mystery.
Let's talk about good.
. Finally we get a bit of backstory on Sloane, which was nice to see. Also lovely that "Handle with care" is a character driven episode with pretty good performances. Drew Carey in particular was great.
But...
. The murder mystery I thought was not strong, it didn't hold my interest like many others have. The identity of the killers was pretty obvious too.
I guess, it all concludes to a fine episode.
6/10 HK

Warning: Spoilers
Good to see Jake Busey pop up after his memorable run on From Dusk Till Dawn, but his character, meant to represent far-right conservative radio hosts was just not as strong as it could have been. O'Keefe on Homeland does a much better job in that role.
And taking the politics of it out of the equation, the story was a little shaky so a 6/10 for me is fair.
