Checkmate, Part 1
bobcobb30127 June 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I was expecting Captain Estes to be revealed as a bad guy, but we still got a good twist with him being on the wrong end of a bomb. A good actor portraying him who will be missed in this recurring capacity, but we needed something big for the finale.

A good first half. Not the most original premise, but entertaining nevertheless.

Tears

Just so unexpected. Never saw it coming. Tears. Shock. What more can be said? I kept waiting for them to prove that it was all a mistake. That it didn't really happen.

How is Pride going to get out of this one?
jvrcisme31 July 2021
Pride, like Gibbs, have no problem in putting themselves on the line when it really counts. A bit reckless and a lot of the renegade in both of them. Morally ambivalent but a moral code, none the less. The higher up that Isler warned Dwayne about has focused. And, as usual, New Orleans' well being hangs in the balance.

Strong cast. Strong plotting. A bit of a overused plot device by now. But damn, it's still tense. It was a damn good episode.

And to pmartin-41787 -- Yes, the people left. The bar closed. The point being a bit of time has passed since the team got there and they start talking. The customers and staff are gone. The doors locked. Now they can talk alone. Sorry but that's a bit of a no brainer. :-)

Writers flunk again
trajanrome19 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The main character is framed as the villain. Anyone who writes a story with this sad and dilapidated premise should be exiled to the 7th level of Dante's inferno. What a nauseating waste of time to suffer through this garbage.

Customers disappeared

When the NCIS crew go over to Pride's bar to stop Pride from whatever he is going to do there are customers in the place and a group playing. After the commercial break there are no customers
