The episode as a whole was fantastic! Team building episode with the new guys just like we have every year for the newbies. I do like the time period choice too! The biggest advancement was with Nate and his dad. Strides of progress and wonderful bonding (from the characters and actors) and it was a pleasure to watch.
Here's where I'll say was the mistake. If we've been making a character serve time to better herself because she was once bad and misunderstood, can we not have Nora Dahrk escape from captivity to be blamed for the emotional death of Nate's father. Nate should be able to trust Nora. Nora should get words out before being accused. I feel like we're going to play the same old game now of "can we trust her or no?" That we've already played once with her and also with Mona AND we're going to play with Constantine and his hell demon controlled lover.
I love the show and the characters, but the writers can and have done better than this. Climactic and awesome ending turned stale just by that one move. Still interested, but how much better would it have been to believe Nora and hear about the doom ahead?
