A Must See For Any Public Official

The violentization process should be a part of any blueprint for criminal justice reform.

Beyond fake
taedirish4 February 2021
A mockumentary supposedly discussing a fake book written about violent criminals... The first 5 minutes give you a good idea of how bad the movie will be, it's full of way too many opening shots meant to "shock" and a lot of fake news clips. It really feels like a first time director. The entire film was overly redundant and sounds like self promotion. Also, because it's entirely fake and full of actors pretending to be PhD's, it offers no actual insights or useful information. I would skip this one if I had a choice.

Concise and Sensible
pachangar16 February 2021
This documentary is easily the most articulate I've seen in uncovering the causes underlying violent behavior. It disentangles what is very esoteric material and portrays it in a straightforward way so that the average layperson can understand the violentization process. I highly recommend it.

Why Doesn't Anyone Know About This!?

After watching this film, I was left asking the same question Rhodes raised: why doesn't anyone know about this? Everyone in the criminal justice system should watch this film especially those responsible for policymaking.

Excellent presentation of Athens' theory
champsawart26 March 2022
Dr. Athens' theory of Violentization is profoundly important in the field of criminology and deserves greater exposure. This film does an excellent job of presenting his work in a compelling way that will make many people rethink their understanding of violent crime.
