Seemed like a fill in episode , yes many new stories and rounds like the pastor who always gets away for making women feel small , the father trying to help, Jackie's wife in bettering herself , Frankie's daughter Kick having issues at school like falling asleep , needing to see a shrink.

This show should think about cutting down the run time a bit. As we saw here there are moments that stand out, but there is just too much plodding along and scenes that add nothing that it decreases the quality of the show.

Priests have a hard time here.
DeCourcy is pleased that the pastor who publicly humiliated him had some allegations made against him.
Jackie meanwhile uses a carrot and a stick approach to the priest who is getting a bit too friendly with his wife.
It's all very nice but it seems to be getting in the way of the story. Even the hoodlum's daughter is having nightmares and her teacher is worried.
Eventually there is a bit of plot when DeCourcy uses some smarts borrowed from Jackie to shake up a suspect.
Somewhere here is a story that could had been done and dusted in six episodes.
