This show is exactly Gurren Lagann meets godzilla meets Pacific rim. Which sounds amazing. But like "the Dragon Prince" the story sure does not go very far. Even though it had an amazing first and 2nd episode, by the 4th episode I was nodding off. And by the final episode It basically changes the story on us. Everything evolved...except for humans? Which i thought was just a cover up for a super nice twist, but instead it literally meant nothing. At first we learn that the robot creatures came about naturally, but then it becomes that they were built in a manner of speaking...which overall amounted to boring and stupid. IT had so much potential...as a gurren lagann clone.

Not Good, Not Bad. Pretty much a clone of most "slick" sci-fi mecha dystopia shows. My biggest complaint, besides the fanservice they put in within seconds of watching, was the super annoying mouth sounds they use when people eat. One guy eats snacks while he works and it's louder than the dialogue; it sounds like he's eating rocks with his mouth right against the microphone. It's a minor complaint but it REALLY stood out and made me embarrassed for the audio technician on the show.

At first thought that it was a big mistake making leou lan as the lead character due to the way he was potrayed in the first 3 episodes as unlikelable and generic character (meh voice casting, boring characterisation and design). Then my whole view on him changed entirely as the story progressed. Most of the side characters were seemingly uninteresting at first as well especially the mayor/princess, secretary jay, gren, doug and cain. But they grew on me as i get to know more about them (still hating gren tho). Great character development story for all of them. Amazing villains. I was invested on Queenie since the very 1st episode and she didnt disappoint later in the series. Not a big fan of robot/ transformers-esque animation especially in this anime these transformation looks lame and very outdated and the plot was pretty generic - science experiment went wrong storyline. But kinda like it on the heavy use of the dark tone/colors throughout the anime. Some action scenes were very messy and childish. Heavy influences on chinese cultures and lifestyle. Great opening and ending songs - giving me a very 2010s pop rock vibe. The ending was rushed (like all animes out there). Cheesy on the use of the 'family article'. Overall not a fan of the character designs and voice castings. Very multiverse of madness vibe. Highly recommended.

You spend half the series listening to the main character eat crunchy food, loudly, and talk with his mouth full. His only revealed personal quality, is he's always hungry. Neato. The rest is typical mecha anime plot.

Honestly I'm just writing this to complain about reviews talking about fan service. If this is fan service then 99.9% of anime is fan service. There is literally a handful of boob shots of one character through the whole anime and they are completely covered up and have no bounce to them. If you think that is fan service or your offended in some way then I would stop watching anime because you'll end up being outraged all the time. When did people get so offended by every little thing? But anyways the anime is good, nothing new, pretty generic but solid enough. I would recommend unless you're someone who is constantly being offended by everything you see.
Naked dude and boob shots

The premise for this was cool, my husband and I were excited to check it out, but after a couple of unnecessary straight up covered but explicit boob shots for the princess-she is unnatural large-and a couple times having a main dud pop out naked out of nowhere, we were disappointed and will not be continuing watching. The scripting-as it is in English is also not very engaging, though I suppose most Engl-sh versions of anime are..needless to say it was a let down for us for what could've been a really cool story.
Brings back a cowboy bebop feel mixxed with outlaw star.

I actually liked this anime-but like the other review it did have a lot of unnecessary covered up close up of just boobs for no apparent reason. Anyways the action is on point. The person playing the character that looks EXACTLY like jet on cowboy bebop is the SAME voice actor which is pretty nostalgic. This anime is one of my favorites on netfl9x-up there with b the beginning which actually has the person in the show that plays spike in cowboy bebop. Thumbs up netflix!

I liked the concept. It s a strange crossover between mechas and quantic mysticism and usual anime with action drama.
The drawings are mostly nice. I m not interested in fan service but it didn't annoy me. Music was ok.
For the people complaining that humans are the only species that didn't evolve, it s explained by the dialog between the two scientists.
Humans have a hard time taking decisions, that why they didn't evolve simply like other animals did, because animals only try to live and survive, they don't ask themselves for metaphysics and ethics. So animals have less possibilities of evolution than humans.
I would have loved to see more about the new ecosystem and less of the "we are a family blablabla". Also I would have loved to see more about politics between the cities and history of the region. Maybe in separate / optional episodes.
I also appreciated there are not too many parts. O can't stand stuff like Naruto or dragon ball that go on like 400 episodes.
Ah and holly molly this cat was ugly ^6_6^

AVOID at all cost; do not waste your time watching this pretentious mess.
I resist to believe this is truly an Animé; aside from the aesthetics, drawing techniques and some typical device plots, this has very little in common with true Japanimation. I doubt this show was written by Japanese.
Is like the writers watched a lot of different shows, and they try to put a little bit of everything on it, with their morals included. They created this ridiculous combination of Sci-Fi, with the most fringe logic behind it, making almost no scientific sense; they picked a topic like Quantum physics, thinking they are going bedazzled people with their theoretical mumbo-jumbo. Then the mixed that with Magical / Wishful Thinking, and they solve everything with Love and a mixture of whatever sounds philosophical / spiritual
The plot is not surprising at all, very easy to predict what's going to happen on every episode.
I don't want to write spoilers, but just by checking parts of the first episode you can guess that this is just the a corny , campy idea of what true science function should be.
There is nothing outstanding from the illustration / animation point of view; things we have seen in so many other shows. The action is lame, The jokes are not funny, characters are cliché, their stories are cliché too; this is definitely not the work of a genius.

In the first half there is a little bit of fan service the worst is barbie doll nudy of Cecil Suu after she take a shower. She does has important roll in series but she comes off as intj and does not show a lot emotion. the first half of the series is ok. it starts of in post apocalypse world with monster of the week plot.
those plots usually feel Cliche. how ever the plot thickens by mid point of the series. The 2nd half the fan service is toned down which is good thing because usually with action anime it just get in the way of the story. I really wanting to know what happens at the end most of 2nd half episodes.
our hero is intp personality with all strengths and flaws that come with it. Which found likeable and relatable being intp my self. How ever I am no super genius. I like interactions between him and Chloe. Chloe is and ESFJ and why she bring up family contract so much at first. the other characters are fleshed out too and likable. how ever the show at time spends too much time on small things than the action.
