While I have generally been enjoying this new series this year, the March 15 episode was easily the worst to date--stupid and offensive.
It dealt with the gang deciding they could suddenly become much wealthier thanks to Charlie's "great" cookie recipe and the usage of a much larger kitchen in the home Syd has temporary access to thanks to the owner asking him to water her plants for a week.
Margaret thinks she can help them all to the money with her business background. But she gives them such a boring presentation-complete with charts and such-they decide Hank should be in charge of the company.
Hank wants to do no work beyond coming up with a jingle. Margaret decides to take over by getting Charlie stoned on marijuana-seriously-and getting him to sign papers effectively selling the company to her. She immediately hires a crew to make the cookies, having bought not only the recipe but the jingle Hank wrote, and Margaret at this point wants to freeze out the others.
She relents, but Hank is ticked off at not being in charge. He starts to go on a rant and as everyone just stands around and watches, he slowly, kind of like Laurel and Hardy, goes around destroying the merchandise and the kitchen, even to the point of pouring milk all over the cookies sitting on the coffee table in the lady's house.
Everyone is mad but they forgave and forgot their differences to end the episode.
I do not like them advocating marijuana. I didn't like Margaret's unethical way of stealing the company from Charlie. Beyond that, the way everyone just stood and watched Hank go berserk made no sense. I would have gotten next to him and said, "Hank...Stop for a minute!..." if I was Margaret.
It also made no sense that almost as soon as they decide to start a cookie company, Margaret could have secured an order for 1,000 cookies. But that's a minor complaint next to the major ones.
