"Extra Toppings" (good choice for a title I'd say) is an American English-language live action short film from 2019, so still relatively new. The writer and director is Alex Backstrom and this is his second filmmaking effort. The lead actress is ginger girl Faith (not Grace) Kelly, who has worked in many other fields than acting too and does an okay job overall, especially taking into account that she has to carry the film almost alone on her shoulders as there are several scenes and moment during which we see nobody except her. She did alright. Still the story about her trying to get employed by a "normal" pizza company, then by something rather unusual, is not yet good enough or funny enough. How the dude picks the wrong car... well, not enough to make an impact on me. I see some potential though. Maybe this could work better as a 20-minute short film, maybe in the sense of a pilot episode, but right now I think it could be a bit difficult to get picked up from what I have seen here. However, if everybody manages to step up their game a little but, I can see it happen. We really need a decent pizza-themed sitcome for once I'd say, especially with comedic references and dark humor linked to the world of organized crime. Combining pizza and Mafia in a convincing and entertaining way could totally be huge fun. Is this the show I am waiting for? Unlikely, but not completely impossible. It's a close call for me here, but I give this film a thumbs-down because eventually it tried to be too much for a film that barely gets past the 10-minute mark. It had a touch of "Baby Driver" for me and I am curious about what Backstrom has coming up next, regardless if it is linked to this project we have here or not. Kinda like his humor.

Not too shabby, but needed to be a little longer to really get going
