Superbe ! The music, the scenes, the plot, the cast

This episodes transported me and reminisce of my youth (70s) when I watched movies with my grand parents. What can I say, this episodes was very interesting - the musics, the dances, the romance, the fights between "important" people - the angry witch sister.

Dreadful Indeed Warning: Spoilers
Racism, Nazis, crooked politicians, some religious overtone, some hints at darkness in the world, all set against the race war of Latinos in LA before the start of WW2.

in the first series you are immediately grouped into a storyline that you wanted to know unfortunately in this series there's too many storylines that you really just don't care about and they all tend to overlap in ways that just don't make sense.

the truly only thing dreadful here is the writing there's no cohesion there's no sense of where this is going and there's nothing really supernatural at all about this, just garbage religious tones.

The multiple characters of the lead actress are absolutely boring....

After three episodes I really don't care to watch this again because it does not have the Penny dreadful feel of the original series or even of the original Penny dreadful books that inspired the first series.

Penny dreadfuls were designed to shock the public the only thing shocking here is how bad these are

Warning: Spoilers
We are at the third episode and I feel like we have reach the limit in terms of, how deep all characters can be ( except for tiago ), we already feel like we know what will happen to them , they all feel cliché and cringe, as opposed to the original show where characters aren't not only "black or white", they have nuances in terms of good and evil, they often goes against their proper nature which gave the show the mystic and romantisme we all love about it.

Watching this episode confirmed I was right thinking natalie dormer could not be as good as a lead actress as eva green, giving her at least four characters to act when we are pretty sure she can't handle a single "real" one is wrong, I mean the most convincing is the witch, the one we saw, and spoke the least, but it's not her fault, it's just a casting, and a big writting mistake.

if you still want to watch the show it's fine, I can understand, because it's clearly beautiful in terms of aesthetic and there is still hope for the duo formed by daniel zovatto and nathan lane, but god forbid I won't torture myself again listening to that german accent by natalie dormer : )

thanks for reading.
