Outstanding and hilarious
3 January 2004
This excellent movie is probably also my favorite. It's fresh, fun, and extremely well-written. All of the actors shine throughout this hilarious comedy. Its plot is also very realistic and the dilemmas the characters face hit close to home. There is more intelligence and truth behind this movie than some other Ben Stiller films, probably because he was met with this problem when dating his non-Jewish wife-to-be, Christine Taylor. This clever and fun romantic comedy will steal your heart. 5 stars.

My absolute favorite movie of all time
27 June 2003
I LOVE this movie!!! I must have seen it about twenty times so far, and I just watched it again today. Gabrielle Anwar is outstanding and beautiful (which makes me wonder why the photo used on the box is the most unflattering one I've ever seen of her). Cliff Roberston is perfect as Al's dad. Dylan Kussman and Kathleen York deliver exciting and great supporting performances throughout. Michael Schoeffling is gorgeous, and he is also an amazing actor... too bad he gave up on his acting career after this movie, just when it was starting to take off. Myself and hundreds of others would love to see him make a return!

Getting back to the movie, I feel so connected to the characters every time I watch it. While some people like it because of the horses, or because of the moral of the story, I just like the movie itself! I admire every aspect of it: the casting, filming, the set, and the true romance that is illustrated between Al and Sonora. The subtly delicate friendships and relationships between all the characters also add to the movie. I also greatly enjoyed the songs on the soundtrack, which are pretty much impossible to find anywhere else.

Although it's a twelve-year old movie, (that in itself makes me sad) it lives on through the heads and hearts of the people who continue to watch it again and again, like myself. I also firmly believe that if the movie were to be re-released into theaters today, it would be very successful. SEE IT!

This is an outstanding movie

Never before have I felt so involved in and connected to the lives of the characters in a movie. This movie was wonderful, everything was believable. It made me feel like I knew Nina and George personally. I felt happy when they were happy, and I felt hurt when they were hurt. I wanted everything to work out for them, exactly as if I had been them. I was pretty disappointed with how the film ended, but it's probably more realistic than what I would have liked to see happen. I love this movie, thanks to the ABC Family channel it has instantly become one of my absolute favorites. Definitely see it - 5 stars!

Shipmates (2001–2003)
Funny show
26 April 2002
Here in New York, "Shipmates" is on weekdays at 4:30 PM and 11:30 PM, (following "Blind Date" both times). I LOVE this show! Don't get me wrong - the daters are, for the most part, painfully stupid. While this in itself IS funny, it's not why I love this show so much. It's because beautiful host Chris Hardwick has it all-- throughout the date he hilariously bashes the daters; either while singing, dancing, rhyming, or performing some other silly antics. He's extremely funny, SO cute, and quite frankly, the only reason to watch the show!! "Shipmates" rules!
