Wayne's World (1992)
Excellent!! Shwing!!!!
Hilarious. Mike Myers and Dana Carvey are absolutely brilliant in this incredible funny comedy about two music loving teenagers with their own cable access show. It contains probably some of the best movie quotes ever.
"She's a robobabe!!"
"She's a babe!! Shwing!! Yadayadayada!! Hreuwp!!"
"If it's a severed head i'm going to be very upset."
"A gun rack? A gun rack. Yeah! I don't even own a gun, let alone many guns so as to necessitate an entire rack. What am i gonna do with a gun rack?"
All these and more! Don't miss out.
The Godfather Part II (1974)
Coppola has once again achieved perfection
This is an absolutely brilliant movie. The outstanding acting and complex storyline will definitely keep you hooked until the last minute. Even though this movie is over 3 hours, i wished that it could have gone on for longer because it was just so brilliant that i couldn't get enough of it.
I have discovered that it is impossible to sum up this movie in a short space, as there are so many complex intertwining plot lines going on all at once.
I really do think that it is tough to decide between this and the first Godfather film but i do think that the first one does have a slight edge just because of Marlon Brando's brilliance which is almost but not quite paralleled by Al Pacino's outstanding effort in this movie. Also an extremely good performance by Robert de Niro as young Vito because Robert de Niro is a genius and i just loved it when he sliced the chest of Don Ciccio.
All in all this is without doubt one of the greatest films ever made, with some of the best acting ever, which i will never grow tired of watching.
Zeruda no densetsu Towairaito purinsesu (2006)
An absolutely awesome game
This is my favourite game.
I really like the way that you use the remote for the sword and the nunchuk for the shield, and it looks really nice as well.
My favourite parts by far are the battles on horseback and all of the temples are really entertaining especially the city in the sky.
The Nintendo Wii has so much potential and if this is what's coming out of it now then how good will games be in 2-3 years.
I am so psyched for titles such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii and Mario Galaxy.
This is an awesome opening title for what promises to be a brilliant console.
Airplane! (1980)
Pure Genius
This is without doubt one of the greatest movies that i have ever seen. I've seen it about 8 times and it just keeps getting funnier and funnier the more i get into it. The addition of Leslie Nielsen just completes the picture for me, and the rest is just as good. I just loved the scene where the sh*t hits the fan and then the spear flies into the wall and then the watermelon smashes into the table. Haha, the 3 guys that made this are legends, cs they also made Scary MOvie 3 which is almost as brilliant.
Anyone who is contemplating seeing this movie, i would do it right now, cos your life gets so much better after watching this brilliant work of art.
The Godfather (1972)
Truly the Greatest
This is probably my favourite movie. It really is tough to decide between the first 2 for the greatest, but i do think that this just has a slight edge, and i am also a huge fan of the 3rd, but its not quite in the same league. I just think that it's really mindblowing how awesome Marlon Brando is in this movie. That is probably the most deserved Best Actor Award ever, as this movie is probably the greatest Best Picture winner ever.
Basically this movie is about organised crime, or the mafia, or cosa nostra or whatever you want to call it. I can see how some may think that it glorifies the world of organised crime, but i really don't think that that makes any difference at all. A really basic overview of the story is that Michael Corleone (Al Pacino in one of his greatest roles ever, alongside the other Godfather movies and Scarface) is involuntarily drawn into the world of organised crime when his father, Vito "The Don/The Godfather" Corleone (Marlon Brando) gets gunned down in the street. Of course there are a thousand small loops involved, like the whole Sonny, Connie and Carlo triangle and Tom Hagen (beautifully portrayed by Robert Duvall) is important as well.
I don't think i could ever get over this movie, as it is one of the most brilliant things i have ever seen.
Silent Hill (2006)
A Pleasant Surprise
I was pleasantly surprised with this movie.
I really expected it to be another really cheap game/movie like Resident Evil but i was actually quite entertained. I think the only thing that i was disappointed with were the effects really. A lot of the monsters looked a bit silly and i was laughing at some points. I also think that Sean Bean's acting career has seen much better days. Having said that however, i was genuinely impressed with the level of gore and the scares involved, and i though that the barbed wire monster was cool.
A must see for fans of this genre.
Hostel (2005)
Intense
I loved this movie!!! I loved the intensity! I was cringing the whole time because of the intense gore! I think the only way to see this movie is at the cinema, with the big screen and the darkness, oh god it was good! Intense..... that is how i best describe this. When Alex is getting drilled all over his body, I was cringing and wincing and the heel slit! The Pain! But I have to say, the best bits were the bubble gum gang and the Asian chick getting her eye cut off. The pus that came out! It is sooooo unbelievably disgusting. I love it!
If what you want is senseless violence, or if you're looking for great ways to torture people, then this is the movie to see!
The Producers (2005)
One of my all time favourite movies
I love this movie The more times I watch it, the better it gets, and I'm up to about 10 I love all the songs, especially "I wanna be a producer", "Keep it gay", "Springtime For Hitler", "Betrayed" and "Prisoners of love". The acting and singing is brilliant from all, especially the gay dudes.
I also love the storyline, original and brilliant. Mel Brooks truly is a genius. My only regret now is that i didn't see the Broadway version of this.
I saw this movie twice at the cinema, and again so many times on DVD. Even though it is quite long I never get sick of it.
Mel Brooks, you truly are brilliant!
