QT has done it again

yet again Mr Tarentino has come up with a great story with even better characters.

there are some people out there that will say the film drags on and is too long.....but people who appreciate cinema, will understand that QT loves to develop his characters well , which tie in great to the story he tells in this great film prob one of the best character driven films you will ever see, go see this movie with an open mind and you will be blown away..

this is sooooo much more than just another war film, the cast are all superb and after watching the film you cant imagine anyone else in the roles.

Gran Torino (2008)

Clint is the best director in Hollywood and still one of the great actors

seeing the trailer for this film kinda made me expect id be watching Dirty Harry in the suburbs.

What I saw was a bittersweet superbly written, well acted story of humanity and friendship,this film is something that we can all relate to in some way, and isn't Hollywooded up in anyway, the film tells it story without any un needed hidden undertones that so many mainstream directors do to films.

Eastwood is excellent as the hard nosed war vet, and his direction is perfect as always, and supporting cast did there job just fine too

Clint Eastwood was perfect for the role and as director, as he has the knack of taking a story and making a film for the audience to get sucked into the story, and not for critics to pick apart....great film making,

Rocky Balboa (2006)

Yo critics...........i did it !!!!!!!

What a great end to a awesome journey.......People have been on to Sly for some hit and miss over the years , but Rocky Balboa doesn't miss , it lands hard on the chin..

A solid story and great directing make this a mix between the first two movies and more of an "early Rocky" feel to it also a few faces from the past show up too !.... Sly proves why he won an Oscar 30 years ago with his great writing ability and story telling

He also doesn't try to hide the fact that he is 60 years of age (59 whilst shooting) , not only that he embraces it, giving a great message of age is just a number and it should never hold you back from your dreams.

Well done Sly and thank you.

Red Dawn (1984)

Hollywood ....should remake this classic !!!!..........CAST HERE !!!!

As Good as It Gets (1997)

Superb acting....... beautiful story

Our revolves around three main characters Melvin ( Nicholson )wemons novelist with a chronic compulsive disorder . Carol ( Hunt ) a waitress single mother longing for something to happen to her life , and Simon ( kinnear ) a gay artist who find companionship in a way he never thought he could.

This film works in so many ways , a first date movie or a Saturday night movie , or even as a one liner hit comedy.

All the main leads are aceptional hence all the Oscar nominations ( which Nicholson and Hunt won , Kinnear missed out only to Robin williams , which is no defeat at all ) .

This is one of very few films where we all can relate to some sort of emotion shown in this movie , whether it be a sad or happy moment this film has it all.

The directing and screenplay are second to none as we follow the characters with a keen eye and wonderment , as all these troubled storys interlock and develop. and the directing allows us to follow the changes in the characters feelings and look on life.

This film is a superb piece of modern cinema , well worthy of its critical acclaim.

EuroTrip (2004)

Great flick to watch if your about to go on a trip with your buddies !

This teen comedy excels where so many have tried and failed , stands out in a lack lustre genre. Good story revolving around a guy who finds out his foreign pen pal is a hot girl from Germany , and decides to go and win her over, with the help of his pals , with hilarious results along the way . All the gags are fresh and original and you find your self awaiting the next prank or plan that goes wrong. This movie is a must for all those 18 - 30 year old " teen comedy " fans who flock to cinemas for the next instalment of teen/sex humour. Though this movie may not as well known as the American Pie franchise it is certainly just as entertaining , BUY , RENT this movie if you want to laugh until your sides hurt.

Alien vs. Predator (2004)

Why was Paul W.S Anderson let any where near this film ?

This was a film that was made for 12 year olds with no knowledge of either of the monsters .it should and would have been great if any other director would have taken it on, but instead fans of both franchises have been cheated !!!!!!!.......

At only 90 minutes long there hardly any character development and at a PG-13 rating the action scenes are lame, The story is as predictable as the NFL playoffs.

This should have been the mouth watering sci fi horror that fans have been waiting 10 years for since the Alien vs Predator comic and the Predator 2 movie (Danny Glover's glace at an Alien skull).

If you want to watch a toned way down ,predictable,overall disappointment go see this film , 6/10

die hard fans should wait for the DVD , hopefully there will be an unrated version with some well needed deleted scenes .

Troy (2004)

very surprised !!!

Well well,.................. expected the worse because of hype, but i was gladly surprised . Screenplay , direction and most of all Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, Brian Cox, and Peter o'Toole were completely on top of their game, even Olando Bloom as the love sick coward Paris was very watchable.

Fight scenes were not overdone, and the love scenes were part of but didn't completely rule the story of Troy which I also liked. If any thing else Troy will go down as having one of the most impressive fight scenes of any film in history. The fight between Hector and Achilles is reason enough to watch Troy alone...
