Keeping Mum (2005)

Very Funny film!
27 November 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This film is a brilliant film. For the first time in my life I have managed to see Rowan Atkinson playing in role that doesn't involve him demonstrating a King to be's bottom to the world (Johnny English) or just acting plain ridiculous (Bean). Here he plays the relatively boring Rev. Walter Goodfellow, who is oblivious to the fact that his son is being bullied, his daughter has a new boyfriend every other week (and then has sex with that boyfriend in a VW minivan in front of the house) and that his wife, who is sort of fed up with him, is having an affair. Suddenly, a cheerful woman, Grace Hawkins enters in the film. She is to be the housekeeper, and her catchphrase is "I'll go put the kettle on". She assists Petey, the son, in "defeating" the bullies when she cuts the brake wires and she also gets rid of Gloria's (the wife's) pet hate: the next-door dog, however this moved me a lot, because the dog's owner is then seen walking around town placing little "Wanted" posters and this is quite sad. But he also disappears. This is because of Grace's "secret......

Good Laughs
24 March 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This movie has is good because: *It has a good plot *The humour is genuinely funny *and it makes sense

This plot is roughly as follows: During World War 2, in the Pacific theatre a man called Walter Eckland, who is rude, selfish and greedy is approached by an Anzac Navy commander, who Walter's friend. He (the commander) forces Walter to go on a mission as a plane-spotter for the allies, so that they know Japanese aircraft positions, Walter only accepts, when there is alchol involved. And so the commander, on a military vessel then "accidentaly" creates a gaping hole in Walter's ship, thus stranding him upon their arrival at the island. One day, after many days of peace, the commander calls Walter, and informs him that another plane-spotter is on an island that is under Japanese assault. Walter must save him. Walter goes to the Island, and instead of finding the plane-spotter, he finds a woman and her schoolgirls.... The movie then continues on with how Walter will cope with these newcomers... Enjoy!

A beautiful Movie!!!
25 October 2005
This is one of the nicest movies of all time... It is not really a drama and not really anything in fact. This movie just cannot be classified... All I can say that there is some sort of humor in this Movie. Little, very little but it shows how Mongolians perceive our new ways of life for them, and how they cope with some of our things that we find perfectly normal and ordinary but they find is the coolest thing ever! I hope that you will enjoy this movie as many of us in German-speaking nations have over this movie. Maybe that thsi will come to America and maybe Southern and further northern countries of Europe. Just remember: This is a story about the life of the last true Mongolians of the Steppe.

The Worst Movie of all times
24 October 2005
This Movie sucks! It is the worst creation in a movie since never! The acting is horrific, the cast: ugh! and the only good part is the dog. The rest is horrifying! How can a movie be so bad? This is the worst of the worst. NB. I rated this thing 1 because there is noting lower, this thing should be rated -99999999999999999999999999 (Absolute crap) because this movie (thing) is. I mean what on earth is the relevance with Beethoven and ------- (Something which I am NOT going to tell you as it spoils the movie and I hate spoilers) So if you liked Beethoven's other movies you will hate this. If you are a first-timer to Beethoven then after you see this you will think all the others suck. Don't think like this! Every Beethoven before this was to an extent good.

Wonderful Cartoon
23 August 2005
"La Freccia Azzurra" (The Blue Arrow) is a charming movie decrypting the story of several toys from the toy store of "La Befana" (Granny Rose) who are searching for a young Italian lad named "Francesco" and also in search for the owner (child) who will truly like them and love them. But yet nothing could go as simple as walking through the streets and not meet problems... They encounter close death, possible annihilation, and various other problems such as the Horrible Scarafoni (Mr. Grimm) who wishes nothing but to stop these toys to be able to sell them... I would just like to point out ONE simple thing that in the versions that are not in Italian you may understand that Granny Rose is a helper of Santa Claus which is completely false it is just because Granny Rose in Italian is "La Befana" an old witch who goes around giving gifts to children on the 6th of January in hopes of finding Jesus. Like the Dutch, Italian children get visited by two imaginary people each, in the case of the Dutch, Saint-Nicholas and Santa Claus and for the Italians Santa Claus and then the "Befana". Watch this movie to see an epic journey of several toys as they struggle to find a master who will love them.

Mary Poppins (1964)

One of the best movies ever!!!
17 July 2005
This movie is a smashing hit. The music is amazing, the idea is brilliant! I do not think there is anyone in the western world who hasn't seen, one of Walt Disney's greatest movies ever... For those who haven't seen this movie I will ONLY tell you the plot to avoid spoiling the movie. The movie revolves around an unhappy family, who are called the "Banks" and the Chaos theory as Mary Poppins, who is the main character, a wonderful nanny is inserted into the Banks family. The children go from "Be seen and not heard" "Be heard and seen". The movie also mixes humans and animation figures which is quite well done. I think this movie is a spectacular and everyone should see this movie at least once...

Terrible!
5 July 2005
Gadgets, modern electronics, divorces, a queen and a king, what could be better? This movie is the worst of all the "Home Alones" ever. The plot: fine. Idea: Rubbish Characters: Load of RUBBISH!!! This movie was NOT funny as Kevin was GIVEN his gadgets. In the last 3 "Home Alone" Kevin made his gadgets which made the movie more intriguing as you didn't know what could happen. Many of Kevin's High-Tech gadgets use are pretty obvious. Also the bad guys Marv, His girlfriend and ---- (I cannot spoil the movie) are just too dumb. Also the humor isn't funny (AT ALL). The entire story revolves around two things:

1.Protecting the house for some psychotic mad people want to kidnap a prince

2.A boy causing no. 1 and provoking the end of a divorce between his parents. I remind that this movie is terrible.
