It's alright
2 September 2015
Before getting into this review, let's take a take a step or two back in time to the first and 2nd films in the 90's. Considering it was a movie about jurassic beasts thirsty for blood, they did an excellent job making the dead people...well, dead. In other words, It was very graphic. I remember in the 2nd movie, a man gets ripped apart between two T-Rex's and you do see intestines. So for the realism of those movie, I give it two thumbs up!

Moving on to Jurassic World, I watched this movie expecting a lot of people to die in gruesome ways because of the realistic theme the last two movies carried on. If you're a fan of realism, bloodshed and dismemberment, I'm sorry to say you don't get that in this movie.

The Pros: Great acting, interesting story twist of a new hybrid dinosaur, danger, dinosaur fights, chaos, breath-holding suspense. excellent effects and CGI.

The Cons: Scary scenes not fit for young ones (duh), not as graphic/bloody (personal preference).

In conclusion, it's a great watch, but I don't believe it fits into the scary, suspenseful theme the past Jurassic Park movies created.

The Artist (I) (2011)

Excellent!
2 September 2015
Jean Dujardin merited his Palme D'or for his enamoring and heavenly execution. I don't even know where to begin. This film is so smart, so perfectly made, so hypnotizing. The lost craft of the quiet film is by and by enlivened and that period is amazingly reproduced, whether it be the acting style, the sets, the areas (shot in Hollywood), the shining high contrast photography. It is evident to see that the individuals behind L'artiste regarded that time of film making and needed to reproduce the enchantment with some advanced touches ( I won't ruin them) and completely succeeded!

Being as I am an artist, I couldn't pass up the see a movie titled, "The Artist" because then what kind of artist would I be? The title lives up to itself, the entire production is a fabulous work of art.

Three's Company (1976–1984)

One of the funniest shows I've watched
2 September 2015
I would watch this almost religiously when it was aired. The theme song has a catchy jingle to it. The cast will quickly begin to feel like family to you except the blonde girl who is often exchanged for another room mate through the years of the show's time on TV.

Doing a role like this takes so much practice and agility so you will come to find that Jack Tripper (played by John Ritter, RIP) is perfect for the role that will leave you laughing oftentimes uncontrollably.

Is it good for children? I'd say so. You won't have to worry about language needing to be filtered or inappropriate scenes.

Is it good for the family? I'd say absolutely.

Classic
2 September 2015
This film is excellent! Truly a classic to show to newer (age- appropriate) generations. I'm not a big fan of bad language, which this movie has it's fill of and that's the only reason I'm not giving it a perfect 10.

Everything in the movie from the way it progresses in time from the first movie, the storyline, the special effects, the thrill, suspense, the action—it all leaves you on the edge of your seat soaked into it and it has been brilliantly carried out. This movie is about as real as fake could be coming from a near-future science fiction. 8 starts but two thumbs way up!

Recommended for little ones? Probably not, but that's up to you. Recommended for family? Also, probably not. This is something you'll want to watch alone.

Ant-Man (2015)

Better than I thought it would be
2 September 2015
Antman. When I first heard about the plans for this movie I laughed to myself and thought, "How can becoming smaller be cool?" Sure enough, Marvel has surpassed my expectations and turned something I thought would be lame and uninteresting into something hilarious and actually pretty cool. I'm not going to include any spoilers, but I will say the fighting style of Antman is much better than I thought it would be. I learned a lot about the story as well as the abilities he has.

Antman gets much more interesting when doing combat. The ability to shrink and grow at will is something Marvel has gotten very creative with.

The language in this film is good enough for my young children to watch. There are no F or GD bombs to ruin the mood and the moment with the family. I'd say I'd surely watch it again.

The Matrix (1999)

One of those movies that makes you think
2 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
If you're not big into understanding computers and how they work, this film may not make too much sense to you. The reason being is because this production is set in a near-future point in time and computers/electronics are the main source of power. I believe what the directors were trying to say in this production is that we are all "sleeping" and what if we woke up? What if the we are all under government control, being drugged to stay asleep and a program is having us all dream this same dream we call "life"?

In the Matrix, Neo wakes up and finds a world nothing like the world in the dream he has been having all his life and he is "born" again into the real world and reprogrammed.

Mary Poppins (1964)
9/10
A classic
2 September 2015
I remember watching this as a little girl. It was one of my most favorite movies full of memories and good clean humor you don't see much of today. This is a great movie to pass down to the newer generations.

Mary Poppins is one of that select gathering of movies that can genuinely be called Fantastic, an undertaking imagined in adoration and loaded with such a great amount of kid like ponder that it will never develop old or obsolete. Absolutely the most noteworthy accomplishment of Walt Disney's momentous profession.

Regardless of the specialized accomplishments and the extraordinary musical score, it is the exhibitions that keep the film alive for me. Julie Andrews was right on target when she got her foundation recompense and expressed gratitude toward Jack Warner for turning her down in the film form of My Fair Lady. She passes on both poise and warmth as Mary. Dick van Dyke had the possibility of a lifetime to exhibit the broadness of his gifts, particularly his moving, which couldn't be completely abused on his TV arrangement.
