How She Move (2007)

why is this nr.23 in the bottom 100???
20 May 2008
I was a bit scared to watch this movie due to its rates. But living in Italy titles like this never ever come across and I love step so much that I decided to give it try. And how surprised I was! The story is different from any other dance-movie I've seen lately, with a deeper meaning than just "winning". It's touching and well written and well directed. Raya is such a strong character, I love the fact that she never doubts herself, she's so mature and focused and AWARE of her TALENT (and what talent Rutina Wesley has, my jaw dropped in the final dance scene). The way she pursues her dream and refuses to let anything stop her is, honestly, inspiring. Also, the fact that she's not the typical super-hot chick (see Jessica Alba, Briana Evigan, Jenna Dewan, Zoe Seldana...) makes her really appealing and real. Seriously, why is this movie rated so low? You can understand between the first 5 minutes that it's a good work. Really good actually. I even cried at the end of the movie. And the dancing routines are just sick.

it is not that bad

I actually thought this was pretty entertaining. You have to admit that the game itself doesn't exactly have a strong story, so I don't think they did such a horrible job with the movie. I didn't really like the way they developed the character of Ayane (who is my favorite in the game), but they mixed up the three games pretty well. The big question mark of the movie is Helena, I didn't really understand how she went from a 30 year old opera singer to an 18 year old who loves to go around in roller-blades... all the same an opera singer that is a master in an almost unknown martial art sounds a lot more ridiculous and the new Helena actually gives a sense to the story. Jamie Pressly shines as Tina, she is the real entertainment of the movie and her scenes are just really funny, you also get the feeling that she could really kick your butt. Who ever said that this movie is soft-porn has obviously seen another movie, or has never played with the game.

A friend told me "You have to watch this movie, it's so so funny, you're going to love it". Since he always suggested very good movies i rented it straight away. Well... going through this movie was PAINFUL!!! I could tell after the first 10 minutes that it was not worth watching it. The plot is so stupid that it makes "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle" look like a Shakespeare's work. The characters are as irritating as a mosquito bite on your butt. I'll erase so many scenes of this movie that in the end you wouldn't even have a video-clip. The first scene in the club is super-annoying, the one in the Chinese restaurant is gross, and so are basically all the scenes with Selma Blair. Everything's terrible!!! The locations, the dialogues, the characters, the actors, the soundtrack! This movie has the worst soundtrack I've ever heard. I cannot believe that a girl would like this movie. And after this movie, Cameron Diaz should be out of work.

urgh

Warning: Spoilers
This is THE MOST HORRIBLE movie I've ever seen... it's just...useless...the story is useless, the characters are useless and sometimes, in the case of Ciara and of "the boyfriend", they are just BAD!!! Of all the singers who tried acting Ciara is so far the worst I've seen, she's just...I don't find an adjective bad enough to describe it. AND what about the scene where Adrienne Bailon finds out that her ex is in a relationship with the blonde chick...she rushes out of the club, camera moves on the couple and they kiss right that moment! It's like they were rehearsing!!! It's one of the worst kisses I've ever seen in movies! Horrible Horrible Horrible

Why did Scott choose Bloom?
29 December 2005
Awesome movie. I really loved it...but Orlando Bloom and Eva Green were disappointing...being in a movie full of amazing actors made absolutely clear that Bloom isn't that good, his character was rather annoying and became irritating when not alone. Jeremy Irons, Liam Neeson, Edward Norton, Brendan Gleeson, Marton Csokas, Ghassan Massoud and the blonde guy...they're terrific. Neeson and Norton...they're majestic. In the scene where Norton enters Gleeson's castle...you have no doubt he's a king...he sits on his white horse, dressed in light blue, and he's so overshadowing, regal, powerful; I was blown away. Oh and Csokas and Gleeson...they're so evil, wonderfully evil. Scott made an amazing movie and I can't understand what made him think that Bloom would be a good main character...
