The trailer of season 4 of The Boys saw many surprises, including a return from Black Noir. The iconic character was killed at the end of season 3 by the Homelander for not telling him about his father. However, the new season sees the silent, masked hero returning to fight Billy the Butcher and the gang in an action-packed scene.
The trailer sees a hand-to-hand combat between Butcher and Black Noir at an office. While fans were excited to see Black Noir returning, they were greeted with an appearance from Gen V’s Asa Germann, who plays Sam Riordan. This sparked a fan theory that Riordan would don the Black Noir suit in the upcoming season.

At the start of 2023, filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan secured a multi-year deal with Warner Bros., and soon after that deal was made, we heard that his first movie for Warner Bros. would be Trap, a “psychological thriller set at a concert”. That project made its way through production toward the end of last year, with lead roles going to Josh Hartnett, fresh off his appearance in Oppenheimer (pictured below), and Shyamalan’s daughter Saleka. Now the film’s August 9th theatrical release date is swiftly approaching, so today (a couple weeks after we saw the trailer), a poster for the movie has arrived online, along with an original song Saleka recorded for the movie, where she plays a pop star called Lady Raven. The poster can be seen at the bottom of this article, and you can listen to the Lady Raven song “Release” at LadyRavenMusic.com.

Warner Bros. released the trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s newest thriller, Trap, with Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue and Saleka Shyamalan on Thursday. The upcoming film will feature Hartnett as a serial killer at a pop star’s concert.
Trap follows a “father and teen daughter attending a pop concert, where they realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event,” per the logline. Warner Bros. offered a first look at the movie at this year’s CinemaCon earlier this month, and released the trailer on social media Thursday.
The trailer shows Hartnett’s character with his daughter, Jody (Donoghue), at a concert for pop star Lady Raven (played by Shyamalan’s daughter and R&b singer, Saleka). When Hartnett goes to the bathroom, he finds groups of federal agents looking for a serial killer whom a concession worker refers to as “The Butcher,” named for the...

The trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s new thriller Trap has arrived, giving a glimpse into Josh Hartnett’s performance as an unexpected serial killer. Watch the full clip below.
In Trap, Harnett plays a father who takes his teen daughter to a concert performed by pop star Lady Raven. The film interweaves the story with Lady Raven’s performance, taking place in near-real time.
Beginning as a wholesome family experience, the trailer drastically shifts in tone when Hartnett’s character discovers the police have set up a trap (get it?) at the concert to capture a notorious serial killer called The Butcher. Seemingly giving away the film’s big twist, Harnett is revealed to be The Butcher.
Written and directed by Shyamalan, Trap also stars Ariel Donoghue, Hayley Mills, and Allison Pill. It’s set to arrive in theaters on August 9th.

It was a family affair during the Warner Bros. panel at CinemaCon as movies from M. Night Shyamalan and his daughter Ishana Night Shyamalan were teased, Trap and The Watchers, respectively.
Ishana Night Shyamalan is making her feature directorial debut with The Watcher, a thriller based on the novel by A.M. Shine. Steeped in Celtic horror and set in Ireland, the film stars Dakota Fanning as Mina, “a 28-year-old artist who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers that are watching and stalking by mysterious creatures each night.” A new trailer for the movie was screened at CinemaCon, which our Chris Bumbray said was “very fantasy-esque.“
Shyamalan has previously praised his daughter’s work as she helmed several episodes of Servant. “She has slightly more of a fantasy bend than I do,” Shyamalan said. “She speaks...

There is not a more divisive filmmaker working today than M. Night Shyamalan. Everyone can basically agree that his 1999 breakthrough "The Sixth Sense" is a supernatural classic, but after that? Slip on the brass knuckles and get ready to rumble. Shyamalan's early 2000s hits "Unbreakable" and "Signs," along with his 2017 comeback "Split," generate the least amount of friction, but aside from those three, it's so very on. You'll hear reasonable defenses for just about all of his films (save for the singularly atrocious "The Last Airbender"). While it's hard to sway folks on a movie as wackadoodle as "The Happening," it is only a good thing to have a major filmmaker knocking out provocative original movies for major studios.
Shyamalan's latest provocation, "Trap," will be his first project under his first-look deal with Warner Bros., and as is typically the case with a new Shyamalan movie, we know next to nothing about it.

When Chancellor Elena Vernham (Kate Winslet) addresses the citizens of her unnamed Central European country, she doesn’t sound like a politician. “My loves,” she coos in a plummy, posh accent, further softened by a hint of a lisp. “I bless you all, and I bless our love. Always.” Seven years into her reign, this signoff suggests that Vernham has transcended the role of head of state, or even autocratic strongwoman. The propaganda videos she records from her palace, a luxury hotel turned personal residence, are closer to guided meditations than ideological sermons. The relationship between this ruler and her subjects, Vernham seems to believe, is more intimate and emotional than mere governance.
Before creating “The Regime,” the six-episode HBO series set in Vernham’s impenetrable echo chamber, writer Will Tracy worked on “Succession.” Just as Logan Roy was a composite of various Irl oligarchs, Vernham can’t be traced to any single inspiration.

Some traditions in the Diablo games, just like the Lord of Terror himself, never die. The iconic Diablo boss The Butcher is a prime, and evil, example of that concept. While he was missing from Diablo 2, he returned for seconds in Diablo 3, and The Butcher will also come bearing a platter of pain in Diablo 4. If you plan on playing that game’s Open Beta, you can even sample this boss before the game’s retail release. You just have to get a little lucky (or unlucky) to find and fight him.
As Diablo veterans probably remember, The Butcher was the very first boss players faced in the original Diablo. This demon quickly left an impression thanks to all the NPCs who built him up by talking about him, his unique room filled with butchered corpses, and his haunting catchphrase of “Ahh…fresh meat!” Unfortunately, Diablo 4 doesn’t give The...

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features seven matches on the card. We’ve got regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary as usual. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Juice Robinson def. Fuego del Sol
My Thoughts: Fuego del Sol going up against Juice Robinson? I’m not sure if Fuego has had a come-up or Robinson has had a step-down. But given Robinson’s high profile in Japan I didn’t expect him to be wrestling Any matches on YouTube for Aew… but hey, I don’t know everything. Still a decent match-up and Fuego at least is back working again – dude’s been missed Imho.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Athena def. Evelyn Carter
My Thoughts: Hmmmmm, let’s see, an Athena match on YouTube against enhancement talent (aka a jobber) what could the outcome be? Squash!

We’ve got Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary, with Roh’s Ian Riccaboni added to the mix this week… so let’s get into the review.
Match #1: Skye Blue def. Zoe Dubois
My Thoughts: Nice to see Skye Blue open a show and Zoe Dubois was an interesting opponent, someone who’s style is certainly unique. This wasn’t anything remarkable and certainly not up to the standard of Blue’s more recent matches. Still, a great start to this week’s Elevation.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: The Butcher and The Blade def. David McCallion and Richie Slade

It’s Monday, so you know what that means, it’s time for this week’s review of Aew: Rampage! This week’s show was broadcast from the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas and featured Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Jim Ross on commentary. Now let’s get to the review…
Match #1: Jon Moxley def. Sammy Guevara The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Sammy went right after Mox with a leaping knee strike, trying for the early advantage. Mox ducked a chop from Sammy and fired back with his own chops. Sammy snuck in a leaping knee strike on Moxley outside the ring. Mox dropped Sammy on the steel barricade, splitting the uprights. Moxley clocked Sammy with a cutter. Moxley superplexed Sammy, bringing him down hard onto the mat. Moxley kicked Sammy in the ribs. Sammy used a corkscrew dropkick on Moxley. Sammy and Moxley battled it out on the top turnbuckle.

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, this week features nine matches once again and a number of big-name stars rather than jobbers! We’ve got Ian Riccaboni, Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary, so let’s get into the review…
Match #1: The Butcher, The Blade and Rush def. Doug Love, Channing Thomas and Brett Gosselin
My Thoughts: This was a squash match but a good squash match – you want to see guys like The Butcher, The Blade and Rush demolish their opponents and that’s what we got here.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Willow Nightingale and Hikaru Shida def. Leva Bates and Emi Sakura
My Thoughts: Willow Nightingale teams with another Japanese talent and it looks and feels just as “right” as her tag team with Riho last week. Good to Leva Bates in action too. Nice women’s tag match – something that...

Of all the actors who employ the “method acting” technique, none is more famous (or infamous) than the great Daniel Day-Lewis. In a surprising move, Day-Lewis, at the height of his popularity, opted to retire from acting following the completion of his film with Paul Thomas Anderson, The Phantom Thread. Many figured Day-Lewis was saying this as the result of a long and taxing shoot, but in the years since, it’s appeared that the actor has stuck to his guns, not appearing in a film since. Is this the end of Daniel Day-Lewis’ screen career? Wtf Happened?
In this episode of Wtf Happened to this Celebrity, we examine Daniel Day-Lewis’ legendary run, from his early triumph in My Left Foot to his North American breakthrough in a run of modern classics that include In the Name of the Father and Michael Mann’s The Last of the Mohicans. Interestingly,...

Match #1: Abadon def. Amy Rose
My Thoughts: Amy Rose makes her Aew debut getting annihilated by Abadon. Hey, at least she got some offence – and remarkably a one-count – before the match was over! Squash-tastic action.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Roh Six-Man Tag Team Title Match – Dalton Castle and The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) def. The Trustbusters
My Thoughts: Wow. We get an Roh title match on Elevation. Surprising. What’s not surprising is how not into this match the crowd was – which really hurt proceedings Imho. Good to see Dalton Castle and The Boys in action but let’s not let the Trustbusters anywhere near those titles ever again,...

It seems like forever that Puppet Combo’s Stay Out of the House has been in development. But through the magic of the Halloween season (and because development is complete), you’ll be able to experience the throwback survival horror game this week!
Puppet Combo hasn’t revealed a specific day when the game will be released on Steam, but we’ve been told that in the next few days, you’ll finally be able to experience the gameplay that will “have you on edge”.
Set in the 1980s and inspired by classic slasher films, Stay Out of the House drops you into the deranged world of The Butcher, who stalks and abducts graveyard shift store clerks (and slaughters them in real time with the game’s dismemberment system).
You play as his latest victim Roxanne – wounded, abducted and waiting for death. But you won’t make it easy for The Butcher.

Exclusive: The Butcher & The Wren, the crime novel written by Alaina Urquhart, co-host of the hit podcast Morbid, is set for a small screen adaptation.
Chernobyl producer Sister is adapting the book as a series with Dexter and See exec producer Jennifer Yale set to serve as showrunner and Radio Silence trio Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, and Chad Villella, who are behind horror films such as Ready or Not and 2022’s Scream, directing.
The book, which has already sold 70,000 copies since its publication ten days ago, is published by Zando, the imprint launched by Molly Stern and back by Sister.
Sister, which is run by Elisabeth Murdoch, Stacey Snider and Jane Featherstone, invested in the company in 2020 with Murdoch and Snider sitting on its board.

Match #1: Zack Clayton def. Conan Lycan
My Thoughts: A pretty decent match from Zack Clayton, who seems to be slotting into Aew nicely. Conan Lycan was a decent opponent, matching Clayton’s size and strength brilliantly. Like Julia Hart, Clayton is certainly going to improve the longer he’s with the company.

There’s no better way to kick off Halloween season than with Universal Orlando’s always epic Halloween Horror Nights, which opened this past Thursday jam-packed with several new houses and scare zones infested with bugs, cursed by witches, and hunted down by chupacabras.
While I am a huge fan of local haunts, Halloween Horror Nights is the “blockbuster” event that every horror fan needs to experience at least once in their life. Hhn is more than just haunted houses, it’s a full-blown immersive experience that starts the second you walk through the entrance (check out over 75 killer treats) and ends at the exit. There’s quite literally nothing like it.
This year’s main event was The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare, inspired by the singer’s After Hours album. The house is a nonstop assault of body horror that transforms The Weeknd into horrific characters of his own...

My Thoughts: The only thing I took away from this match was that a) I’m tired of the Sammy and Tay schtick and b) How the f*ck does that pair get three matches in two weeks whilst Eddie Kingston is stuck with one match on the All Out pre-show? Screams a desperate attempt to squash the “Sammy is har to work with” rumours Tbh.

Vanessa and Elwood Preview the “Horrors of Blumhouse” at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood! [Images]
It’s almost the most wonderful time of the year… Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights!
Opening night is upon us and Bloody Disgusting’s Vanessa Decker & Elwood Quincy Walker got an early sneak preview of two of this year’s most anticipated houses: The Horrors of Blumhouse & Universal Monsters: Legends Collide…
In this year’s edition of The Horrors of Blumhouse guests are welcomed into Blumhouse Video, an abandoned haunted VHS rental store presenting the body-swapping slashterpiece Freaky & the terrifying summer blockbuster The Black Phone.
The Freaky section of the house is fantastic & throws you right in the middle of the film’s opening scene where the Blissfield Butcher brutally slaughters a group of teens one by one.
This house does a great job at recreating a lot of Freaky’s creatively gruesome kills, featuring the iconic shattering wine bottle throat kill & the skull-crushing toilet seat from what is one...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. We’ve got a repeat of last week’s commentary team, Excalibur and Matt Menard, for this episode so let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Dante Martin def. Wes Barkley
My Thoughts: After last week’s match I was expecting Dante Martin to thoroughly squash his opponent here but that wasn’t the case, Wes Barkley managed to hold his own for a short while, even getting a 1-count on Martin. Still, we were in quasi-squash territory with this one!

My Thoughts: This was a quasi-squash, with Heather Reckless given a couple of chances to get a shot in on Anna Jay, otherwise this was all Anna – a woman who’s literally getting better and better each and every time she wrestles. It helps that you’ve got someone like Reckless as an opponent – she can really sell a move!

Bursting through the curtain for his first ever WCW World Title bout, Hulk Hogan looked slimmed down, healthy, and eager to make a great first impression. At World Championship Wrestling’s Bash At The Beach event on July 17, 1994, Hogan was set to face ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair in a match pro wrestling fans had waited years to see.
This was the dawning of a new era for WCW, and many backstage felt the company – upon signing Hulk – had finally hit the big time. There was a sea of change on the roster, quickly evolving into a line-up which greatly resembled the WWF roster of the late-1980’s and early-1990’s.
Hogan brought pals like Jim Duggan, The Honky Tonk Man and Ed ‘Brutus Beefcake’ Leslie along for the ride. The latter even headlined Starrcade 1994 opposite Hulk himself, a decision WCW VP Eric Bischoff would later dub a mistake that he regrets.

Bret “Hitman” Hart began his career in his father’s Stampede Wrestling promotion, before achieving global superstardom in the World Wrestling Federation in the ’80’s and ’90’s. His no-nonsense attitude, and the legitimacy that came with being a Hart Brother from the infamous family Dungeon enabled Bret to bypass the cartoon gimmicks that were handed out to his WWF colleagues.
And so, while his peers on the WWF roster were saddled with ludicrous personas (such as the gifted Terry Taylor being made to cluck and strut as The Red Rooster), Bret was able to sidestep all of the cornball nonsense and continually be presented as a serious athlete.
Forget the multiple championship wins, being presented simply as a wrestler in Vince McMahon’s 80’s universe, was perhaps Bret’s greatest accomplishment.
That being said, even a guy as respected and decorated as ‘the Hitman’ would still occasionally find...

Every year, the WWE’s unofficial calendar begins anew after WrestleMania. The Showcase Of The Immortals has always been treated as the culmination of an entire year’s worth of booking, planning, and storytelling. The new wrestling year often sees new characters debut and new feuds beginning which often includes the creation of new main eventers, sometimes as soon as the R.A.W. (Raw After WrestleMania).
Regardless of when their opportunity arises, some superstars get elevated to the main event and never look back. Legends like Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, and Steve Austin reached the top of the card after years of working the mid card and proved to be every bit worth the wait. Other superstars like Brutus Beefcake, Lex Luger, or more recently Jack Swagger and Ryback were thrust upon the main event scene following past WrestleManas only to fall back into obscurity shortly thereafter.

In today’s WWE Universe, the Survivor Series has turned into just another pay-per-view (or “WWE Network special presentation”, however you want to say it), but, back in the day, it was one of the premiere events on the WWE calendar.
An Original Four event, the Survivor Series featured an entire card stacked with teams of four wrestlers taking on another team in an elimination tag match. In its earliest incarnation, the “survivors” of the matches on the card would meet in the main event in an Ultimate Survivor Match to determine the king(s) of the Survivor Series.
However, with the Attitude Era came changes in the product and WWE felt that the late 1990s audiences didn’t have the attention span for Survivor Series matches, which sometimes ran as long as 40 minutes to tell a proper story. This made the event far less important and less...

The 1990 Royal Rumble came at a time when it felt like WWE was ready to make some big changes. Even though Hulk Hogan was still the man, it was the 1990s and there were questions about how long he was going to keep being featured as the top guy.
The Ultimate Warrior was really catching fire and gaining popularity while Hogan was in his sixth year as the top guy. Both were in the Rumble match, so if we were looking at it the way we look at wrestling 25 years later, the smart thinking would be for Warrior or somebody else to win the match. That’s not what happened, though.
It was also a time when the roster wasn’t really that good on the heel side. There were the likes of Mr. Perfect, Ted Dibiase and Randy Savage in heel roles. They are some of the best heels ever,...
