Billie Eilish won’t be playing marathon shows on her upcoming world tour, the artist recently revealed while chatting with fans on the app StationHead.
Eilish expressed her thoughts on the daunting idea of doing three-hour concerts after being asked whether she would perform every song from her new album, Hit Me Hard and Soft.

“I can’t do that,” Eilish said. “My show would be like a million years long. If I did that, I’d have to cut like every other song that I have — so I’m gonna have to choose, y’all. But I’ll do most of [the songs from the album].”
Responding to another question, Eilish continued, “I’m not doing a three-hour show. That’s literally psychotic. Nobody wants that. You guys don’t want that. I don’t want that. I don’t even want that as a fan. My favorite artist in the world,...

Beyoncé is making sure her daughter Blue Ivy Carter knows how to block out online haters.
During a recent episode of Vogue‘s The Run Through podcast, Tina Knowles, the Grammy-winning singer’s mother, chatted about her granddaughter’s performances during Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour, which saw her dancing onstage to “My Power” and “Black Parade.”
Knowles recalled Carter’s performance being “the best” and how “every night her dad and me would get on this platform out there and we would just be screaming our heads off, like, with no shame at all.”
While she was one proud grandmother, alongside millions of supportive fans, Knowles shared that Carter later read some negative comments on social media following her performance. Thankfully, Beyoncé swooped in with some helpful advice.

Billy Eichner is finally getting to live out his childhood dream of a being in a major stage musical.
The “Bros” star is making his Hollywood Bowl singing debut this weekend during “The Lion King’s” 30th anniversary live-to-film concert.
“We just had our first official rehearsal all together this morning,” Eichner told me Wednesday afternoon. “The scope and size of it really knocked me out. If I can get through it, I think it’s going to be really fun.”
Eichner, who played Timon in the 2019 “Lion King” remake and reprises the role in the upcoming prequel film “Mufasa: The Lion King,” isn’t allowed to say what he’ll be performing. But it has already been announced that the two-night run — May 24 and 25 — will also feature “Lion King” veterans Nathan Lane, Jeremy Irons, Ernie Sabella, Heather Headley, Lebo M and Jason Weaver, as well as Egot winner Jennifer Hudson,...

It’s been about a decade since Twenty One Pilots came oozing out of Columbus, Ohio, with their resolutely Midwestern, amicably dystopian 2015 hit “Stressed Out,” an emo-rap-industrial-pop slab of sing-songy melancholy that touched enough of a nerve to catapult the previously unknown duo into Adele/Beyoncé echelons of chart success. Twenty One Pilots’ post-genre sound was well-timed for the full blossoming of the streaming era. Blurryface (the album that contained “Stressed Out”) went from reggae-lite to ukulele twerpiness to pop-punk to piano-pop to Edm. Adding some value amidst all the playlist-brained vertigo,...

The world should value consent. However, Madonna‘s “Erotica” was banned from MTV for depicting consensual roleplay. The Queen of Pop had a surprising reaction to this development. One of the musicians behind Madonna’s album Erotica also had some perceptive things to say about the controversy.
Madonna’s ‘Erotica’ was pulled from MTV for being ‘repellent’
Madonna’s music video for “Erotica” looks like a rediscovered print of a black-and-white silent film about the Folsom Street Fair. It’s grainy, disorientingly edited, and niche in a way that’s generally anathema to a mass-market pop offering. The video has a lot of images that nobody would want to watch with their grandma. The Material Girl had previously explored Bdsm in her music videos for “Express Yourself” and “Justify My Love,” but she took things to a new level of explicitness with “Erotica.” After all, the music video had to...

The Lion King – Featuring the voices of Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala and Donald Glover as Simba, Disney’s “The Lion King” is directed by Jon Favreau. © 2019 Disney Enterprises, Inc. All Rights Reserved. When Disney made the original animated version of The Lion King, the studio invested heavily in the film’s music, enlisting Elton John and lyricist Tim Rice for the film’s original songs and Hans Zimmer for its score. Of course, it was an investment that paid off handsomely — the soundtrack album has sold more than 7 million copies, and all four of The Lion King’s Oscar nominations were for the film’s music. When the studio decided to remake the film in 2019, director Jon Favreau was faced with a lot of choices about how he wanted to make his film different than the original. At the time of the film’s release, Favreau told us he realized that,...

Adam Aron, the CEO of AMC Theatres, gives me a choice.
We’re supposed to have a 20-minute interview in Las Vegas at CinemaCon, a four-day gathering of movie theater owners and Hollywood studios designed to breathlessly hype the year’s upcoming blockbusters, but he’s distracted. Executives from Warner Bros. want him to come backstage before their presentation to schmooze with the filmmakers they brought to Caesars Palace. So here are my options: Stick to the plan, with Aron’s mind flittering elsewhere, or cancel other commitments to get dinner and much more time on the record. The second choice, a publicist’s nightmare, makes it more likely that the AMC chief will say something controversial. But Aron has endured a pandemic that shut down his business, withstood roller-coaster share prices and sidestepped nagging speculation that he’s about to get canned. He thrives on risk.

A New Orleans group is suing Beyoncé over her smash hit “Break My Soul” — accusing her of copyright infringement stemming from her use of a sample from Big Freedia, who they claim illegally used lyrics from their 2002 song “Release a Wiggle.”
According to a complaint filed in Louisiana federal court on Wednesday, members of Da Showstoppaz — Tessa Avie, Keva Bourgeois, Henri Braggs, and Brian Clark — alleged that the Cowboy Carter artist specifically sampled Big Freedia’s 2014 track “Explode,” which illegally used “copyrighted lyrics, melody, and musical arrangement” from their 2002 song.

Apple Music’s 100 Best Albums list today named its top 10 albums of all-time, with The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill crowned No. 1.
“This is my award,” Hill said to Apple Music, “but it’s a rich, deep narrative, and involves so many people, and so much sacrifice, and so much time, and so much collective love.”
Last year was the album’s 25th anniversary, and its success was overwhelming upon release. It won five Grammys, three American Music Awards, and a Billboard, Soul Train and MTV Video Music Award while selling 30 million copies since its bow.
But instead of capitalizing on it, Hill became one of music’s biggest enigmas. Her output diminished after an MTV Unplugged follow-up acoustic album, reverting to sporadic singles and rare appearances.

Apple Music named its top 10 albums of all time and it focused entirely on popular music. While some older records showed up on the list, the top spot was taken by Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Hill herself reacted to this ranking.
Lauryn Hill wouldn’t have made Apple Music’s top 10 albums without ‘sacrifice’
In 2024, Apple Music named The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill the greatest album ever. It beat out several other classics. The rest of the top 10 were, in ascending order, Beyoncé’s Lemonade, Nirvana’s Nevermind, Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black, Kendrick Lamar’s Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life, Frank Ocean’s Blonde, Prince and the Revolution’s Purple Rain, The Beatles’ Abbey Road, and Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Though some critics may take issue with the fact that the list is dominated by recent albums,...

Network executives once came to the upfronts on a mission to get advertisers excited about a handful of new series coming in the fall. This year, TV’s big players took a T-shirt cannon approach.
Every one of the major presentations during the May 13-15 sprint in midtown Manhattan — NBCUniversal, Fox, Disney, Amazon, Warner Bros. Discovery and Netflix — emphasized the breadth of the company’s content offerings. Call it the everything-everywhere-all-at-once strategy for the streaming age.
As always, common themes emerged across the week. “Connections” was the buzziest of buzzwords used by executives pitching their hearts out from the stage. Without question, the song of Upfronts ’24, the one heard at most if not all events, was Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ’Em.”
After sorting through the firehose of shows and spin, here are a few trends that stood out this year.
1) Star-Power Surge
Last year, the writers strike kept boldface names from appearing at the upfronts.

Over the past week or so, Apple Music has slowly unveiled the titles included in its list of the “100 best albums.” Today, the top 10 albums were revealed, with Miss Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill claiming the No. 1 spot. Rounding out the top five are Michael Jackson’s Thriller; The Beatles’ Abbey Road; Prince’s Purple Rain; and Frank Ocean’s Blonde.
The top 10 also includes Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life; Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city (Deluxe Version); Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black; Nirvana’s Nevermind; and Beyoncé’s Lemonade.
In all honestly, it’s a pretty safe top 10, especially considering the drama that unfolded when Apple unveiled picks 11-20 and slotted Adele’s 21 at No. 15 and Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) at No. 18 — ahead of albums like Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, The Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds,...

Premiering out of Critics’ Week in Cannes, Alexis Langlois’ debut feature “Queens of Drama” is a musical blast of queer culture euphoria, telling a decades-spanning, impossible love story between a pair of pop idols who begin as fans and then become lovers, who climb the charts and permeate the culture as enemies, and who end up forgotten, as time moves forward and a new generation of teenage fans claim new idols for themselves.
The film’s familiar rise-and-fall rhythms struck a chord with filmmaker Alexis Langlois, who cites Vincente Minnelli and George Cukor as inspiration. “I wanted to offer a great, romantic story,” says Langlois. “Really, to give all these queer characters – and the queer actors who play them — a sense of grand romance by mixing the codes and memories of classic cinema with something much more modern.”

The contributions of Black artists to country music have been marginalized, minimized, and, in some cases, wholly erased from the genre’s history. A group of songwriters, singers, activists, and journalists aimed to set the record straight on Wednesday during a live panel discussion in Nashville. Dubbed “Act III: A Conversation Around ‘Three Chords and the Actual Truth,’” the event was presented by the Black Music Action Coalition and the org’s co-founder, president, and CEO, Willie “Prophet” Stiggers.

Now that the upfronts are over, it’s time to hand out much-deserved accolades to those who made this year’s presentations truly unforgettable.
Just remember, everyone’s a winner here. But these folks made the week extra special in New York.
Most Ominous Overture: Kelly Clarkson kicking off a week of upfronts that used to be the sole proprietorship of broadcast networks with tunes like “Whatever Makes You Stronger” and “Since U Been Gone.”
Best Dressed Code Breakers: Men like Bob Iger, Casey Bloys, Mike Hopkins and Rob Wade for appearing without ties. Nothing says we are hemorrhaging money more than a nude neck.
Earworm Award: Beyoncé’s Texas Hold ‘Em and Miley Cyrus’ Flowers that were played on a loop.
Best Joke of the Week: “NBC is launching the new adventure Destination X,” said Seth Meyers at the NBCU upfront. “It was originally titled the Linda Yaccarino story.

What do you do when a gesture of admiration for your favorite celebrity doesn’t quite go as planned? For Harvey Kindlon, a heartfelt token of adoration towards Hollywood starlet Megan Fox, who just turned 38 yesterday, once resulted in an unforeseen viral moment.
Sadly, the Holiday in the Sun actress once turned down her young fan who tried to give her a sign of his love in front of a horde of paparazzi, who were obviously taking pictures of the entire event. It was way back in 2009 in London, when the then 11-year-old Kindlon stood among millions of fans, clutching a yellow rose for Fox, who soared to fame as Mikaela Banes in the hit flick, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Miley Cryus has unveiled a synth-laden cover Talking Heads’ 1977 hit “Psycho Killer.” The singer recorded the rendition, which she previewed live at Chateau Marmont in March, for Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense, out now.
While Cyrus offered an acoustic version of the song at Chateau Marmont, her recorded cover is far edgier, falling somewhere between pop and dance music. It embraces an ’80 synth sensibility, with angular beats and fuzzed out vocals.
Earlier this year, A24 announced it was working on a Talking Heads tribute album,...

Going into the 2024 ACM Awards, you didn’t have to be clairvoyant to nail some key predictions. Host Reba McEntire was sure to be both corny and unflappable, Lainey Wilson was a lock to win Entertainer of the Year, and country interloper Post Malone, scruffy and face-tattooed, was going to charm the pants off everyone.
That all of that happened isn’t a bad thing. In fact, there was something especially comforting about the predictability of this year’s ACMs, held for a second year in a row at the...

The country music world shared the stage at the 2024 ACM Awards, where Post Malone performed songs from his upcoming country album, Dua Lipa joined Chris Stapleton for a duet, and Avril Lavigne and Noah Kahan partnered with country musicians onstage.
It almost felt like Beyoncé — who recently made history on the country charts with Cowboy Country — might pop up. She didn’t Thursday night, but host Reba McEntire did reference Queen Bey’s historic project during her opening monologue.
“We’re here to talk about country music and how everyone is invited and welcome here at country music’s party of the year. From Mother Maybelle to Cowboy Carter, country music is so big in 2024 that there’s room for everybody,” she said. “We all love country [music] and we all are country, and we’re keeping the circle unbroken, but growing it to even bigger and better.”

Matthew McConaughey has long been known as the quintessential Hollywood leading man. It’s not just the actor’s Oscar-winning performances that have earned him that title, but also his dashing good looks. Since the 90s, the actor has been positioned as one of the entertainment industry’s leading heartthrobs.
This reputation even led to McConaughey winning the tag of People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2005. It helped that the actor was a frequent leading man in rom-coms for a time. But while Matthew McConaughey is undoubtedly easy on the eyes, the actor’s personal hygiene leaves something to be desired. In past interviews, McConaughey has stated that he does not use deodorants, and this caused an issue between himself and Kate Hudson at one point.

The Hit Man star takes aim as her career levels up
Adria Arjona knows just how scary it can be to meet your heroes. One of her all-time favourite movies is School Of Rock, and when she first met Richard Linklater, not even the relative safety of a Zoom call could save her. “My hands were sweaty,” she admits to Empire. “I was really trying to play it cool and that lasted for about ten minutes.”
After a series of supporting turns in genre fare, crime dramas (True Detective), and recently as the forthright Bix in Andor, the 31-year-old actor is stepping into fresh territory with Linklater’s romcom HitMan. Alongside Glen Powell, she stars as Madison, a housewife with a controlling husband who falls for the contract killer (Powell) she hires to take him out. The only problem: her new boyfriend is actually working undercover for the police as a fake hitman.

The Drake-Kendrick Lamar showdown will continue — at the 2024 BET Awards.
The rappers will compete in two categories at the June 30 show: best male hip-hop artist and best collaboration. In the latter category, Drake is nominated for “Rich Baby Daddy” with Sza and Sexyy Red, while Lamar is nominated for his guest verse on the remix of Beyoncé’s “America Has a Problem.”
Drake is the show’s top contender with seven nominations, thanks to his album For All the Dogs (Scary Hours Edition). Lamar didn’t release an album that was eligible this year. The Canadian rapper’s other nominations include album of the year, best male R&b/pop artist and viewer’s choice for “Rich Baby Daddy.” He’s nominated twice in the video of the year category: “Rich Baby Daddy” and his guest verse on J. Cole’s “First Person Shooter,” the late 2023 track that reignited his feud with Lamar.

Love them or hate them, you cannot deny that One Direction allowed their sound to evolve. Zayn Malik’s upcoming album Room Under the Stairs is going to be a big shift in sound for the former One Direction star. He explained why he wanted to go country with this new outing. In addition, Malik named a modern country singer whom he deeply admired.
1 singer inspired Zayn Malik’s ‘Room Under the Stairs’
First, some background, One Direction was initially a pop-rock band that sounded like “I Want to Hold Your Hand”-era Beatles having a sugar high. As time went on, they were swept into the 2010s folk revival, while also dabbling in other genres like rock and reggae fusion.
After leaving the group, Malik embraced R&b. His most famous post-One Direction songs were “Pillowtalk” and the Taylor Swift duet “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever.” both songs were sensual and contemporary.

On May 7, many elite, A-list celebrities descended on the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York for the annual Met Gala, the star-studded fashion extravaganza and most important red carpet (this year, green and white) event of the year. Online coverage of the glitzy affair always blankets media coverage as fans pore over each gown’s details.
But this year, dozens of pro-Palestine protesters were arrested a block away while marching toward the event. And for those closely watching the ongoing Israel-Hamas war and Gaza’s harrowing devastation — as the death toll topped 35,000 (many of which are women and children) — the Met affair led some online critics to launch the #Blockout2024 movement, which this week is gaining traction.

As any Swiftie (or internet-using individual in the year 2024) will tell you, securing tickets to see Taylor Swift on “The Eras Tour” is no easy feat. As the record-shattering global trek continues, fans have an additional snag to consider; this month, Swift updated the setlist for “The Eras Tour” with new cuts from her most recent LP, The Tortured Poets Department, meaning even those who caught the first leg of the tour stateside are now facing down some serious Fomo.
For many Swifties, waiting for the tour to resume stateside in the fall is not a solution, thanks to exorbitant pricing on the secondhand ticket market — the laws of supply and demand are in full swing. For those who have the means, the more economical option just might be flying across the ocean to see “The Eras Tour” on its current leg through Europe and the UK.

“You’re a 30 Rock legend,” Sherman said. “You’ve had your foot on our necks since Y2K.”
Rudolph was disbelieving of this praise at first, but Yang quickly interjected to second Sherman’s claim.
“You were the first to slay the house down boots queen!” he exclaimed to Rudolph.
“You have achieved extra-terrestrial mother status!” said Sherman.
“Me? Mother?” questioned Rudolph. “You’re right.”

Lala Kent recently called out fans of Vanderpump Rules after the finale. The last episode of the show was eventful, to say the least. Fans have seen Ariana refuse to talk to Tom. While the rest of the cast has worked on mending their friendships with Sandoval, Madix has been dismissive. Viewers also got to see Lala Kent go off about Ariana Madix during the last episode. Keep reading to see what Lala said.
Lala Kent Goes Off On Ariana Madix
Tom Sandoval tried to speak to Ariana Madix at Scheana’s party. However, this made Ariana mad, and she left the party and stopped filming. After, Lala and Scheana were both upset. Lala then went off about the situation.
“This happened to her. The world rallied around her, she now thinks she is Beyoncé. It’s bulls— that she can’t film with someone because she stays under the same roof.
