Prison Break may make another comeback. A new version of the popular Fox series is now in development from Elgin James, co-creator of FX's Mayans Mc. If this new version moves forward, it will air on Hulu, which is the streaming home of the original series.
The original Fox series stars Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Sarah Wayne Callies, Mark Feuerstein, Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar, Paul Adelstein, Augustus Prew, Rick Yune, and Inbar Lavi, and it aired for five seasons, including a shortened revival of Prison Break in 2017. The show's story begins as structural engineer Michael Scofield (Miller) commits armed robbery. He is sentenced to a term in the same prison where his brother, Lincoln Burrows (Purcell), is serving time for a crime he didn’t commit.

In the universe of James Bond, there are several tiers of villains. There are the primary villains, of course, the mad geniuses like Ernst Stavro Blofeld, Auric Goldfinger, Karl Stromberg, or Max Zorin, who plot to take down financial institutions, governments, military installations, or even the entire world. Sometimes it’s even all of the above Next, however, are the secondary adversaries who may support the main villain in their plans but are often either in it for their own financial gain (as opposed to world conquest), or because they’re in trouble, and this is their only way out. Think of Pussy Galore from Goldfinger, Milton Krest from Licence to Kill, General Ouromov from GoldenEye, Professor Dent from Dr. No… and the list goes on and on.
And then there are the henchmen who are there for one sole reason: to kill James Bond, or in the words of one famous villain,...

Dan Ackerman, the editor-in-chief of tech news website Gizmodo, filed a lawsuit on Monday against Apple claiming that the Apple TV+ movie “Tetris” unlawfully lifted content from his book about the classic video game.
Published in 2016, Ackerman’s book titled “The Tetris Effect: The Game That Mesmerized the Globe” delved into the hit game’s beginnings within the former Soviet Union and the battle for its worldwide licensing rights.
According to the lawsuit, “Ackerman’s book took a unique approach to writing about the real history of Tetris, as it not only applied the historical record, but also layered his own original research and ingenuity to create a compelling narrative non-fiction book in the style of a Cold War spy thriller.”
The lawsuit added, “Mr. Ackerman’s literary masterpiece, unlike other articles and writings, dispelled of the emphasis on the actual gameplay and fans, and instead concentrated on the surrounding narrative,...

Many movies are only as good as their villain. So it goes with the "Fast and Furious" franchise that has somehow managed to produce 11 films (and counting) despite lukewarm success in the bad guy category. Our heroes, led by Vin Diesel's fearless Dominic Toretto, have gone toe-to-toe with a staggering collection of veteran actors with mixed results, often achieving victory relatively quickly in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
Thankfully, a handful of notable evil-doers in the "Fast Saga" stand out amongst the fleet and punch above the script on the way to bad-guy glory. With the new "Fast X" driving over box office records, we thought it'd be prudent to run through the entire series and separate the villains who kicked it into fifth gear from those stuck on neutral. So, we present all the villains in the "Fast and Furious" franchise (including Jason Momoa) ranked from worst...

The "Fast and Furious" saga is one of Hollywood's purest movie franchises, one that understands the primordial appeal of exciting spectacle, dumb plots, and larger-than-life characters, as well as earnest melodrama and a focus on family that other franchises simply can't replicate.
This is also a movie franchise unafraid to reinvent itself, to destroy its continuity for the sake of a better story and spectacle. The only rule in these movies is the rule of cool. Because of how often the franchise is retentive while also retconning itself, each movie's villain is as different as they can be from each other.
And yet, there are two clear camps when it comes to "Fast and Furious" baddies. There are the ones with a personal vendetta against Dominic Toretto or the "fambly," and then there's everyone else. The thing is, time and time again, the franchise has made it clear that the...

If you are a retro / 80s nerd in the truest sense then I am here to tell you, my friends, that Tetris is about to become your new favourite movie. The Fast and Furious franchise has had its fair share of unforgettable villains, including Johnny Tran (Rick Yune), Carter Verone (Cole Hauser), Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), and Cipher (Charlize Theron) to name a few. Each character is larger than life and knows how to disrupt the Fast family dynamic. However, a new nemesis with a significant axe to grind is about to enter the driver’s seat for Fast X, and Michelle Rodriguez says he’s the best male villain yet. I’m talking about Jason Momoa’s Dante Reyes, of course.
Speaking on Collider Ladies Night to promote the upcoming release of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Rodriguez said Momoa’s Reyes is the best male villain the Fast & Furious franchise has ever had.
“Revenge with a smirk. It sounds light, but when you see [the movie], you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

Somewhere along the way in Jon S. Baird’s fleet and compelling fictionalized look at the invention of Tetris, you forget that you’re watching a film about a video game. Zippy car chases, farcical negotiation scenes and a tour of 1980s-era conference rooms around the world make Tetris, which premiered at SXSW and airs on Apple TV+ at the end of March, more than an ordinary origin story. Baird (Stan & Ollie) uses the convoluted licensing battle around the game to frame a sturdy and occasionally funny drama about capitalism, intellectual property and the specter of the Soviet Union’s dissolution. Tetris’ willingness to tackle these themes indeed makes it more absorbing than your average streamer fare, but it also makes you wish the film went farther in exploring its ambivalence about the relationship between creative expression and greed.

In the first trailer for the Apple original film “Tetris,” Taron Egerton’s character Henk Rogers is on a mission to bring the addictive game to America. The only problem? It’s 1988, the Cold War is still on, and the inventor is Russian. Rogers must not only line up U.S. investors, he’s got to convince the Soviets he means no harm.
The film, which is billed as “a Cold War–era thriller on steroids, with double-crossing villains, unlikely heroes, and a nail-biting race to the finish,” co-stars Nikita Efremov as inventor Alexey Pajitnov. It also stars Toby Jones, Roger Allam, Anthony Boyle, Ben Miles, Matthew Marsh and Rick Yune.

In the first trailer for Tetris, Taron Egerton stars as Henk Rogers, a man caught in the cold war battle behind the iconic video game.
Opening to Doghouse’s “The Final Countdown,” the three-minute teaser offers a first full look at the actor as the video game designer and entrepreneur whose own failed efforts lead him to discover a title that will change gaming forever.
“I played for five minutes,” Egerton says as he pitches buying rights to the game in Japan. “I still see falling blocks in my dreams. It’s poetry — art and math all working in magical synchronicity. It’s the perfect game.”

Before Fast X races into theaters, NBCUniversal has treated extended members of the Fast family with The Fast and the Furious Legacy Trailer, taking us back to where it all began for Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and his band of thieves. The slick footage brings us back to the franchise’s start, with The Fast and the Furious, directed by Rob Cohen. In the film that started it all, Los Angeles police officer Brian O’Conner must decide where his loyalty lies when he becomes enamored with the street racing world he has been sent undercover to destroy. The action-packed street racing extravaganza stars a baby-faced Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Rick Yune, Chad Lindberg, Matt Schultze, and more.
The Fast and the Furious Legacy Trailer is, without a doubt, a cog in the hype machine for Fast X, the penultimate chapter of the core Fast and Furious series of films.

Coinciding with its “bigger and louder” trend, The Fast and the Furious franchise significantly upped its villain game as the series progressed. Bad guys in the early entries are forgettably bland, but the latter films feature some incredible villains.
In this ranking, we’ve excluded characters who were antagonists but not true villains, heroes briefly coerced into turning heel, and garden variety henchmen. The caveat to this is the Shaw brothers, who were the villains of the sixth and seventh films but eventually allied with the heroes (we can only assume they were redeemed by the sheer power of Family). But since they were villains, they remain on the list.
14. Johnny Tran

Yes it can be said that we are a far cry from the Oscar-winning Leaving Las Vegas Cage or the height of his acting clout, 90s Face/Off Cage, but I am of the firm opinion we are in the vintage Cage phase of this damn fine actors career. Also let’s be honest Mandy, Colour Out of Space and Primal are all cracking movies in their own right and these are his latest outings; so you never know, much like Josh Brolin and Matthew McConaughey had their comebacks, we may...

I’m not a major Manga fan but am certainly aware of the most popular and enduring properties, such as Gunnm, a.k.a. Battle Angel Alita, which ran from 1990-1995 and was adapted into two-part anime. By 2000, James Cameron had been made aware of the series and immediately wanted to bring it to the big screen. He allowed himself to get repeatedly distracted so he eventually handed off the directing chores to Robert Rodriguez, who took the mammoth script Cameron and Laeta Kalogridis, and honed it down to something 20th Century Fox could afford.
After all that build up, several other Japanese stories had made it to American audiences, with few making a positive splash. So, when Alita: Battle Angel finally arrived this year, audiences were primed to be awed or disappointed. Had the film arrived two decades ago, it would have been a far more interesting and arresting story,...

RZA is on the cusp of two professional milestones. This November, his legendary hip-hop group, the Wu-Tang Clan, will ring in its 25th anniversary with a series of Down Under concerts. And early next year, he will bring audiences his third film as a director, “Cut Throat City.”
Born Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, the artist began releasing features six years ago. Rather than a career pivot, moviemaking represented coming full circle in the entertainment industry: the very first Wu-Tang album (“Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers”) took its name from the 1978 film “The 36th Chamber of Shaolin.” In it, a fugitive college student travels to a Shaolin temple to master kung-fu, plotting revenge on his tyrannical government. During “RZA: Movies, Music, and Martial Arts” — his recent Hall H talk at San Diego Comic-Con — RZA recalled why Liu Chia-liang’s epic resonated for him and his bandmates.

Girl Talk is a weekly look at women in film — past, present, and future.
Now eight films in, the “Fast and Furious” franchise keeps chugging along to big box office returns and a seemingly unstoppable string of storylines, but at least one member of the crew would like to see a few changes under the hood. Earlier this week, star Michelle Rodriguez took to Instagram to ask that series “show some love to the women of the franchise on the next one,” implying she might not stick around if some changes weren’t mad. She’s not wrong, because while the series has plenty of interesting, cool, and diverse ladies as part of its ranks, it’s often neglected to put them in the driver’s seat. That needs to change.

Warning: Spoiler alert! Do not proceed if you have not watched Tuesday’s episode of Prison Break.
Did we just find out Poseidon’s identity?
At the end of Tuesday’s episode of Prison Break, titled “The Prisoner’s Dilemma,” the mysterious figurehead -- only known as “a rogue CIA operative” -- was possibly revealed to be Sara’s husband, Jacob Ness (Mark Feuerstein), as he was spotted by T-Bag (Robert Knepper) talking to two henchmen, A&W (Marina Benedict) and Van Gogh (Steve Mouzakis). But, is Jacob really Poseidon?
“There are definitely a number of more moves to that story,” creator Paul T. Scheuring exclusively tells Et. “The idea is to say, ‘Boy, that sure looks like it’s Jacob. Jacob sure looks like [he’s] Poseidon.’ All roads point to him at that point, but like I said, that is not the final understanding of Poseidon or Jacob.”
