Meghan Markle, the cooking show host? A body language expert says the Duchess of Sussex certainly gave off host vibes — Nigella Lawson’s name was mentioned — when she spent an evening cooking as part of a charity initiative. Ahead, how Meghan bounced between cooking show host “chic” and “trainee.” Plus, what made her look more “hands-on.”
Meghan made other women look like the ‘experts’ cooking on Feb. 10
Known for loving to cook, it’s no surprise Meghan combined two of her passions — food and giving back — on Feb. 10, 2024.
Per a press release, she spent the evening in the kitchen with 15 women as part of The Welcome Project from The Archewell Foundation. Meghan and the women “gathered to cook traditional Afghan food including Ashak and Mantuu.”
Body language expert Judi James examined an image from the night — see it in the press release —showing Meghan preparing food alongside women from the Southern California Welcome Project.

George Clooney, Michael McKean, Richard Roeper Remember Tom Wilkinson, Who “Made Every Actor Better”
George Clooney, Michael McKean and Richard Roeper are among the stars remembering acclaimed British actor Tom Wilkinson, who died “suddenly” on Saturday at the age of 75.
Wilkinson, known for his BAFTA-winning role in The Full Monty and Oscar-nominated turns in Michael Clayton and In the Bedroom, died at home, according to a statement from the actor’s family, who were with him when he died as was his wife.
For his role in Tony Gilroy’s Michael Clayton, the 2007 drama that starred George Clooney and Tilda Swinton, who won the best supporting actress Oscar for her performance, Wilkinson received a best supporting actor nod.
“Tom made every project better, made every actor better,” Clooney said of Wilkinson in a statement. “He was the epitome of elegance, and he will be dearly missed by all of us.”

Celebrity chef Nigella Lawson, who three years ago mispronounced “microwave” as “mee-krow-wah-vay” on an episode of her cooking show, has addressed the infamous yet viral incident. The British chef, 63, was explaining the steps on how to make brown butter colcannon when the interesting pronunciation slipped from her mouth.
“I still need a bit of milk, full fat, that I’ve warmed in the mee-krow-wah-vay,” she said in the clip, which quickly caused an uproar on social media.
“I wasn’t quite aware I’d said it because that’s what I call it at home,” Lawson said in an episode of BBC Breakfast, which aired on Christmas, reports people.com.
At the time, people were debating if Lawson really pronounces “microwave” that way, so the chef clarified that she does but “not because I think that’s how it’s actually pronounced.”

Annie Starke doesn’t want to talk about last Christmas. The host of the freshly minted Magnolia Network show, “The Mountain Kitchen,” admits her family dinner was a disaster.
“I probably had too many drinks in the morning,” Starke tells me, laughing. “I don’t know what happened, but I messed up. I burned the absolute hell out of the ham and it was terrible. I screamed so loud that even my deaf aunt heard me. She can’t hear the giant freight train that goes by her house but she heard me scream. But we were like, ‘Let’s just wolf this down and move on with it.’”
“The Mountain Kitchen” is shot in Bozeman, Montana, on Starke’s mom Glenn Close’s ranch.

Prince Harry has made some bombshell revelations in his recent interviews and 2023 autobiography, Spare. The most recent to come under scrutiny is his admission to having experimented with illicit drugs, such as cocaine and magic mushrooms, which has raised questions about whether he declared his past substance use when applying for residency, and why it has not impacted his ability to obtain a U.S. visa.
The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project has submitted a request for Prince Harry’s visa documents under the Freedom of Information Act. Experts believe that if the Heritage Foundation’s investigation finds the Duke of Sussex to have lied on his application, he could have his visa revoked and could face deportation.

Danny Dyer has spoken out about facing classist bias throughout his time as a public figure.
The actor, who left his role on EastEnders at the end of 2022, referred to people mocking his choice to name his daughter, former Love Island star Dani Dyer, after him.
In the interview with The Times, the example of Nigella Lawson’s name being derived from her father, baron and former Tory politician Nigel Lawson, was raised as a similar choice that has not drawn as much critique.
When asked whether the difference in how people perceive this tribute is an example of class bias, Dyer agreed, replying: “I think there is classism.
“As soon as I open my mouth I’m judged as thick and poor and not articulate. I noticed that early doors, but it hasn’t really bothered me.”
Dyer grew up on a council estate in east London’s Custom House neighbourhood.

Idris Elba! Kim Kardashian! Ariana Grande! Greta Thunberg! Rihanna! Adele! The cast list of ITV’s new comedy is impeccable. It would be right up there with Glengarry Glen Ross or Pulp Fiction if it weren’t for one snag: those famous faces appear only via deep fake technology, which super-imposes their beloved features onto the profiles of actors (who are doing middling vocal impressions of them). This is the world of Deep Fake Neighbour Wars, a show that mixes comedy and technology with as much success as Dave Chapelle welcoming Elon Musk as his warm-up act.
It’s essentially a mockumentary version of naff reality TV, like Nasty Neighbours and Fear Thy Neighbor. Petty domestic disputes that escalate into violence. The twist here is that the participants have the faces (and names) of well-known celebrities. They don’t, however, have the careers of those celebrities, and they only possess...

Thanksgiving will soon be upon us. While some appear to be mentally skipping most of November to head straight into the holiday season, others might want to get in the mood ahead of this year’s celebrations.
Shows such as Gossip Girl, Modern Family, and Frasier have all dedicated episodes to Thanksgiving over the years.
Here’s a selection below, to be enjoyed between now and 25 November.
Gossip Girl – “Blair Waldorf Must Pie!”, season one episode nine

We saw both Ella and Kitty both perform amazing sets that were full of funny and entertaining jokes, with Ella snatching the win and claiming her fourth win of this season. In all honesty, if I was in Ru Paul shoes I would have probably picked Kitty, as I thought her runway was of a much higher quality but it was clearly a very close competition. The world has loved Nigella Lawson for a very long time. She’s lovely. She’s a whiz in the kitchen. She’s a goddess in an apron, and we’ve all learned so much from her over the years. Even those of us who cannot cook can sometimes take a recipe she’s so carefully crafted and turn it into something halfway decent – and trust me when I say that’s a big deal. But, it seems that the carefully put together, elegant woman we see on television isn’t always as put together and with it as she seems. She recently came out and

Hey, "MasterChef" fans. Tonight, September 11, 2019, another elimination show did indeed air, and one unlucky chef was sent packing. The usual three judges: Gordon Ramsay, Aarón Sanchez, and Joe Bastianich were joined by guest judge Nigella Lawson. She's a renowned food critic, and she was certainly highly critical in this episode. Sarah mentioned that was amazed to see her. Next, the contestants were told they had to make an exquisite venison dish that was straight from deer on the London grounds. They had only 60 minutes to do it, and the start clock began before they even entered the Victorian kitchen! Dorian expressed that she was confident and nervous. She told Gordon and Nigella she was making a coco butter rack of venison dish. Noah told Gordon and Nigella he was making a pepper corn crusted venison dish. Nigella said, something about it having good flavors. At this point, Joe was seen...

A lavishly rehabbed residence in London’s almost ludicrously posh Belgravia area, once owned by Dame Julie Andrews, has come for sale at a tetch under $33 million. According to press accounts out of the U.K., the Oscar-, Emmy-, Golden Globe- and Grammy-winner occupied the property in the exclusive Chester Square nabe in the 1970s during the early years of her marriage to late husband and director Blake Edwards. The glamorously refurbished townhouse-style residence has also been occupied at various times by Mick Jagger, Nigella Lawson and Margaret Thatcher. The house is being sold by Saigol Ddc, an investment concern and property developer focused on ultra-high-end properties in Central London.
Serviced by a mirror-lined seven-person elevator, the six-story townhouse-style mansion measures in at a sliver over 7,000 square feet with five en suite bedrooms on the uppermost floors plus a staff suite in the basement. A total of seven full and...

Who says it's faux pas to eat in bed? Not Nigella Lawson! During an "Ideas at the House" conversation with Annabel Crabb at the Sydney Opera House, , the 56-year-old celebrity chef proudly copped to eating in bed—a lot. "I do keep, by the side of my bed, because my bedroom is not on the same floor as the kitchen, so by the side of my bed, I have learnt to keep a little collection of condiments," she said, immediately getting a laugh from the audience. "It's not meant to be funny," she snapped back quickly, sounding a little defensive. "It's very...

And now, she's back at it and slamming the continuous trendy diet term that is currently making the rounds. While speaking at the JW3 Speaker Series in London earlier this week, Lawson exclaimed, "People are using certain diets as a way to hide an eating disorder or a great sense of unhappiness and unease with their own...
