As Brody Jenner steps into the fatherhood role, he hopes to take on the duties much differently than Caitlyn Jenner.
Jenner, 39, and his fianceé Tia Blanco welcomed their first child, a daughter named Honey, on July 29th, which they shared in an Instagram post to the world on Friday. The pair also uploaded a YouTube video documenting Blanco’s pregnancy journey where Jenner vowed to have a solid bond with his newborn, differently than Caitlyn Jenner had with him.

Directed by Justin Simien (Dear White People), this disappointing comedy-horror is Disney’s second attempt at turning their popular theme park attraction into a movie franchise, following the disastrous 2003 Eddie Murphy vehicle. With a shorter, snappier running time, it could have been a fun ride – much like the attraction itself – but instead it’s a bloated, painfully dull and wildly uneven mess that quickly outstays its welcome, despite the efforts of its talented comic cast.
The film gets off to a bad start with a confusing jump from a meet-cute between astrophysicist Ben Matthias (Lakeith Stanfield) and haunted house tour guide (Charity Jordan) to a period some years later, where he is both an alcoholic and a haunted house tour guide operator himself,...

It’s nothing new for a musical to be based on a movie. But in the new comedy “The Shark Is Broken,” which officially opened on Broadway Thursday night, viewers are going back to 1975’s “Jaws” — but not in the way movie fans remember.
“The Shark is Broken” is co-written by and starring Ian Shaw, the son of the late Robert Shaw, who of course played ship captain Quint in the original blockbuster. In the play, Shaw portrays his own father alongside Broadway vet Alex Brightman as Richard Dreyfuss and Colin Donnell as Roy Scheider in a behind-the-scenes comedy based on the infamously difficult movie shoot.
As cinephiles are aware, “Jaws” had a troubled production: shooting on the water proved more difficult than Steven Spielberg imagined, and the mechanical shark (nicknamed “Bruce”) frequently broke down. The 90-minute play imagines several days of the shoot when Dreyfuss, Shaw, and Scheider were stuck on a boat,...

Fans of Bruce Lee will be happy to learn that there will be new content featuring the Dragon that will be coming out in the form of an anime. Shannon Lee, Bruce’s daughter and the head of his estate, has released a new teaser trailer for an anime to be called House of Lee. The trailer is a true teaser as it only runs for half a minute and showcases quick snippets of animation where Lee is doing his warm-up exercises reminiscent of his preparing to fight Chuck Norris in The Way of the Dragon, as well as small clips of what’s to come in the series.
Deadline reports that the trailer for House of Lee is attached to the special 50th anniversary 4K screenings of Enter the Dragon, which are set to play in over 650 theaters on Sunday, August 13 and Wednesday, August 16. The creative IP branch of the Bruce Lee Family Companies,...

The Story: Eddie Hawkins (Bruce Willis) aka the Hudson Hawk is a master cat burglar recently released from prison after a long stretch. Determined to go straight, he’s nonetheless blackmailed by the psychotic Darwin (Richard E. Grant) and Minerva Mayflower (Sandra Bernhard) to undertake a series of jobs in Rome involving the components of a machine designed by Leonardo da Vinci that converts lead into gold.
The Players: Starring: Bruce Willis, Andie MacDowell, Danny Aiello, James Coburn, Richard E. Grant and Sandra Bernhard. Directed by Michael Lehman.
The History: With Bruce Willis’s sad health situation forcing him into retirement, it’s worth digging into his filmography to examine some of his less-seen gems. For me, one of the big ones is Hudson Hawk. In 1991, Bruce Willis was arguably at the peak of his fame. “Moonlighting” was done and Die Hard had made him into one of the biggest action stars in town,...

Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus event in Rome has renewed concerns about hosting concerts at the historical site after the rapper’s 60,000-strong crowd created enough buoyant movement to register a 1.3 magnitude earthquake.
While Scott isn’t the only artist to perform at the Circus Maximus in recent years — Bruce Springsteen and Guns N’ Roses both played the historic venue in 2022 — the rapper’s Utopia celebration show was apparently the only one that caused significant seismic activity, with the Italian Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology noting that its stations “clearly...

As Bruce Lee once famously said, “Be water”, meaning in part that people should be able to adapt to any situation. And while John Wick director has updated the action movie game, he can’t help but recognize the films may not have gotten there without the words, style and ethics of Bruce Lee.
Speaking with Empire on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Enter the Dragon – arguably Lee’s trademark movie – Chad Stahelski said, “A lot of what we do in John Wick, the non-verbal communication, is based off of what Bruce did….I love the action, but I’m also a sucker for his personality. Half the reason you love what he does is that you love him: the innocence and the arrogance. He projects the confidence of a young man trying to find himself. Bruce knew how to be vulnerable, and I really appreciate that about him.

This Star Trek: Strange New Worlds article contains spoilers.
Andorian chief engineer Hemmer was one of the highlights of the first season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, thanks in large part to actor Bruce Horak’s gruff sweetness. Fans truly felt the loss when Hemmer sacrificed himself to save the crew from the Gorn in “All Those Who Wander,” even if it made way for the equally wonderful Carol Kane as new chief engineer Pelia.
But that didn’t mark the end of Horak’s time in Star Trek. We got a brief glimpse of Hemmer as both a zombie projection and a priority one YouTube video in season 2’s “Lost in Translation,” as Uhura called upon the teaching of her old friend to solve a complex communication problem. Now, Horak is back in the new musical episode, “Subspace Rhapsody,” but not as Hemmer.

Steven Spielberg’s Jaws is a tough act to follow. Not only has it come to define the entire shark horror subgenre, but this aquatic adventure movie also revolutionized the concept of the summer blockbuster as we know it today. It’s difficult to understate the film’s legacy. From archetypal characterization, iconic kills, ubiquitous catch phrases, and an incredible score, Jaws is a nearly flawless film that continues to terrify new audiences to this day. The same cannot be said for its sequels, however.
The underrated Jaws 2 feels a bit more like a slasher with its cadre of teens stranded in deadly water. The fourth installment, Jaws: The Revenge, is known for its implausible plot and Michael Caine’s hilarious yet dismissive comments. While the aforementioned sequels have their merits–and fair share of ardent supporters–when it comes time to defend Jaws 3D, few rise to the occasion.

Those of us that were alive in 1989 can attest that Batmania had taken over. Warner Brothers’ marketing machine was working overtime to make sure that the bat symbol was everywhere. It’s no wonder that when the film came out, it was a giant hit grossing over $400 million dollars. Adjusted to 2023 rates, that is just over $1 billion dollars. When it came time for a sequel, the team got back together again and put out another home run although it would bring in a little bit less at the box office.
That was okay though as this time Warner Brothers had prepared to push the movie with all sorts of merchandise. Just about any type of clothing you could think of had a bat symbol on it. When it came time to make a third film, that’s when it all seemed to fall apart. Tim Burton had a...

“Just Shoot Me” star David Spade is calling out what’s fake and what’s real in an exclusive first trailer for Fox’s new game show, “Snake Oil.”
“More than 4 million animals go chronically un-petted by their owners,” said a voiceover for what appeared to be a real-life commercial for a pet-petter. “Give them the pets they deserve with Bruce’s Better Petter. It’s motion-activated with a full range of physical affection.”
The gag is, the product nor its commercial were authentic.
“Ok, this product isn’t real. It’s snake oil. However, this is very real,” host Spade said, cutting in. The video then switched to a shot of the “Snake Oil” set and its participants.
The series is hosted by Spade and executive produced by actor, writer and producer Will Arnett, who currently hosts Fox’s” Lego Masters.”

Travis Scott’s determination to perform his new album Utopia at an ancient international monument is sending him to Italy. Hayley Williams doesn’t have time for internet trolls. On Sunday, July 30th, the Paramore singer took to Instagram while recovering from a lung infection — which caused the postponement of some of the band’s tour dates — and slammed sexist “internet bros” for their critical outcries against her.
Sharing a screenshot of a post in which a Twitter user tried to give her shit for postponing the shows with the argument that Metallica and Iron Maiden are both older than her and still “manage” to perform, Williams served a slam-dunk response: “Neither James [Hetfield] nor Bruce [Dickinson] are gonna suck your dick for this, love.”
Williams then shared another screenshot, showing a Twitter user comparing her to Dave Grohl, who famously finished a Foo Fighters concert after breaking his leg in 2015. The twitter user called Williams “whiney,” but she eloquently responded with the truth. “I have a lung infection, you soft shit!

People who spend all day spewing hate on the internet have mastered the art of being loud and wrong. A subset of that community recently aimed at Hayley Williams following the postponement of several Paramore concerts while she recovered from a non-contagious lung infection. From their perspective, as people who likely haven’t performed even one percent of the number of shows that Williams has, she should have powered through — like Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl did when he broke his leg, apparently. The front woman isn’t usually one to...

Julian Barry, Oscar-nominated screenwriter of the 1974 Lenny Bruce biopic “Lenny” starring Dustin Hoffman, has died at the age of 92, his daughter announced to The New York Times.
Born in the Bronx and a graduate of Syracuse, Barry got his start in showbiz on Broadway as an actor and stage manager, most notably in Orson Welles’ 1955 production of Shakespeare’s “King Lear.”
In 1969, Columbia Pictures approached Barry about writing a biopic about the life of stand-up comedian Lenny Bruce, who had died of a morphine overdose three years prior. Bruce accepted, but the project fell through as Columbia fast-tracked other projects.
Not wanting to give up on the script, Barry repurposed it as a stage play and brought it to Broadway in 1971 with “Hair” director Tom O’Horgan and with Cliff Gorman as Lenny Bruce. The play “Lenny” was a success, with Gorman winning a Tony Award for for his performance.

Disney's newest attempt at turning a theme park ride into a feature film has arrived with the silly spook-fest with a heart of gold, "Haunted Mansion." Fans need no reminder that the beloved attraction made its name on the strength of humor, scares, and a unique approach to the classic haunted house setup that took full advantage of what Disney does best. After the 2003 Eddie Murphy-starring film came and went (though not before inspiring a bit of a cult following over the intervening years), all eyes were trained on director Justin Simien and his star-studded take on the beloved IP.
The basic structure isn't too far afield from what audiences might expect: a grieving widower named Ben Matthias (Lakeith Stanfield) has given up on his astrophysicist passions and his dabbles in the supernatural, turning into an avowed skeptic with absolutely no patience for the ghost-obsessives around him in New Orleans.

In an exclusive clip shared with TheWrap, Bill Williams (Dulé Hill) and his wife Lillian (Saycon Sengbloh) have a quick conversation about the party they’re attending at the home of his new friend Alan (Bradley Whitford).

“I think this is some kind of sex party,” Lillian tells her husband in the clip. He tries to ease her mind, saying that she should stop reading their daughter Kim’s Cosmopolitan magazine.
“Sex party? My goodness Lillian, just be cool,” he adds, before Alan comes behind and puts his arm around him.

Disney’s Haunted Mansion seeks to course correct from its looser adaptation of the famous theme park dark ride in 2003 with a new, much more faithful feature-length adaptation. That’s a tall order considering the original attraction opened in 1969, amassing decades’ worth of lore and history within its hallowed, spooky walls. Yet director Justin Simien and writer Katie Dippold carefully thread 999 happy haunts into a cohesive but densely packed storyline that brings every bit of the grim grinning ghost funhouse antics, mythology, and details you’d expect. But it’s Simien and Dippold’s poignant approach to grief and death that solidifies their Haunted Mansion as worthwhile gateway horror for a new generation.
Once a promising young scientist, Ben (Lakeith Stanfield) now drinks his life away when not leading ghost tours in New Orleans. Ben’s deep in the throes of grief, trapped at a crossroads after his beloved wife’s passing.

For a few years there back in the early ’80s, Disney took a turn to the dark side, releasing live-action movies like “The Watcher in the Woods” (featuring a creepy late-career Bette Davis) and “Something Wicked This Way Comes” (from the mind of Ray Bradbury) that were intense enough to inspire nightmares — in kids, at least. The youngsters of that time are now parents, and some are surely asking themselves how far they can trust Disney not to traumatize another generation when a movie like “Haunted Mansion” comes along.
Truth be told, the PG-13-rated feature — which marks the studio’s second big-screen adaptation of its spooky theme park attraction — isn’t really that scary. Director Justin Simien (“Dear White People”) leans more on comedy than horror, bringing together a handful of funny stars to deal with Gracey Manor’s ghost problem. In 2003, audiences watched Eddie Murphy drop into “Haunted Mansion” in Rob Minkoff’s poorly received riff on Disney’s famous ride. Now 20 years later, Justin Simien, director of “Dear White People” and a former Disneyland ride operator, is trying his hand at putting the “grim, grinning ghosts” of the popular theme park attraction on the big screen — and the results are impressive.
Simien’s “Haunted Mansion” is a wondrous blend of horror and comedy, tinged with emotional resonance in its story of grief and how we try to connect with those we’ve lost. Anchored by a phenomenal performance by Lakeith Stanfield (“Atlanta”) and a solid ensemble, “Haunted Mansion” is a worthy take on the ride and a sleeper hit for families looking to find a fun summer film.

Ever since the 1975 horror blockbuster Jaws made us afraid to go into the water, America has had an obsession with sharks. While great whites get most of the attention, any aquatic killer with sharp teeth will usually quench our collective thirst for marine menace. In 1988, Discovery Channel launched Shark Week, a seven day block of programming filled with nature documentaries, celebrity cameos, and aquatic reality TV designed to explore the wide world of sharks. This annual event has been going strong for the past 35 years, working its way into the public consciousness to become a household name. Each summer’s horror offerings usually bring with it one or more films of the Shark Horror subgenre. Featuring the underwater predators as their villains, these movies vary widely in quality and usually sink or swim based on the verisimilitude of their special effects.

Los Angeles, July 25 (Ians) Hollywood actor Owen Wilson was disappointed not to share any scenes with Jamie Lee Curtis on ‘Haunted Mansion’.
The 54-year-old ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ star features in the new Disney movie as priest Kent, but lamented shooting his scenes separately from the ‘Halloween’ actress who stars as the floating head in a crystal ball Madame Leota.
As per Female First UK, Wilson told ComicBook.com: “Well, I don’t get to work with Jamie Lee Curtis, and I was a little bit sort of, ‘Oh, gosh. That’s too bad. But that was only sort of made more clear, because we were doing some press the other day, and she has great energy, and she’s a very formidable person. I’m a bit more slow, from Texas, and she’s, you know… But I really enjoy her energy.”

With the release of Oppenheimer, it’s time to rank all of director Christopher Nolan’s movies from worst to best (Bwaaaaahm!). This wasn’t an easy task. Unlike ranking five Indiana Jones movies or seven Mission: Impossible films, Nolan offers 12 films that range from historical dramas (Dunkirk, Oppenheimer), to sci-fi thrillers (Interstellar, Tenet) to mysteries (The Prestige, Memento) to his Batman trilogy. Through it all, Nolan has risen to become one of the world’s finest filmmakers, one of the few who can dependably fill theater seats on an opening weekend, and is considered the last respite for grown-up cinema fans. Here are all of Nolan’s films, from the weakest to the strongest.
12. Insomnia (2002)
It says a lot about Nolan that the “worst” film he directed is still rather good and worth watching. Insomnia is a remake of the Norwegian title and is perhaps notable that it’s...

Dolly Parton‘s not leaving the stage any time soon. In fact, when it comes to retirement, the 77-year-old country star would rather “drop dead” onstage instead of planning her last curtain call.
The Jolene singer shared her feelings about retirement while on the Greatest Hits Radio show, telling host Ken Bruce that there’s a responsibility that comes with realizing one’s biggest dreams.
“I always believe that if you’ve wanted your dreams to come true and you are lucky enough to have that happen, then you’ve got to be responsible because you gotta keep the dream alive,” she explained. “And every dream kind of spawns another dream. You can branch off of almost anything that happens and make a business of that as well. So it’s kind of like a tree with good roots — it’s got a lot of limbs and it’s also got a lot of leafs.

As JoBlo.com was founded in 1998, we missed the opportunity to chronicle the reactions to 1995’s Batman Forever. But time works in funny ways, as just last week a rare screening of the nearly three-hour Schumacher Cut of Batman Forever took place – and yes, the reactions are in, with most agreeing it is easily the better version of the movie, which doesn’t exactly have the best reputation…

Khloe Kardashian recently celebrated her 39th birthday with a caring message from someone special in her life: Caitlyn Jenner.

It’s a wish-you-had-gills type of humid September day in Nashville, but Lucinda Williams is comfortably out of the soup, sitting at the kitchen table of Ray Kennedy’s Room & Board Studio telling tales about life on the road to a gang of touring lifers including Tommy Stinson and Jesse Malin. They’re rare, behind-the-curtain anecdotes, many of which she shares in her superb memoir, Don’t Tell Anybody the Secrets I Told You. But in person, hearing them delivered in Williams’ syrupy Southern drawl, they’re especially captivating.

Steven Van Zandt worked with Bruce Springsteen long before he took a role on The Sopranos. In 1999, when he accepted the role on The Sopranos, he also rejoined the E Street Band. While it may have been a challenge to balance his new acting career with music, it was perfect for Van Zandt. He built his Sopranos character at least partly off his relationship with Springsteen.
Steven Van Zandt based his ‘Sopranos’ character on his real relationship with Bruce Springsteen
After leaving the E Street Band in 1984, Van Zandt officially rejoined in 1999. That same year, he accepted his first-ever acting role as Silvio Dante on The Sopranos. He realized that to accurately portray the character, he had to create a background. This meant pulling from his real-life experiences.

Los Angeles, June 29 (Ians) Rock music legend Bruce Springsteen is returning to London’s Hyde Park — where he was famously cut off 11 years ago — in July.
But this time, the organisers said, ‘The Boss’ will not be silenced. Bruce is going to take stage earlier, at around 7 p.m., so his ‘notoriously’ long set won’t run over and fall foul of the 10.30 p.m. curfew dedaline, reports ‘The Mirror’.
A source said the scheduling would ensure that the icon gets to play all his hits with no interruption when he takes to the stage next on July 6 and July 8.
The source told ‘The Mirror’, “Fans needn’t worry… There will be plenty of time to hear what will be two historic sets.”

Along with Turner, genius in their respective fields yet small-time crooks Cullen, Harper Row, and Duela were also taken into custody on suspicion of Bruce Wayne’s murder, and the group escaped imprisonment thanks to Carrie Kelley, aka Robin’s interference. Later, Turner’s best friend Stephanie Brown joined the team as well, and to clear their names and bring Bruce’s killers to justice, Turner and co. resorted to vigilantism. Steven Van Zandt and Bruce Springsteen have worked together for years, but Van Zandt temporarily left the E Street Band in 1984. He wanted to pursue a solo music career. While he found some success, he soon realized he’d made a huge, life-changing mistake. He explained why he had so many regrets about the decision and how he eventually found his way back to the E Street Band.
Steven Van Zandt quit touring with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
Van Zandt and Springsteen met as teenagers and collaborated frequently before Van Zandt joined the E Street Band in 1975. The group found widespread success that year with Born to Run. It wasn’t until 1984’s Born in the USA, though, that the band truly exploded. It was their most commercially successful album and became one of the best-selling albums of all time. Van Zandt, unfortunately, wasn’t there to reap the benefits.

The Flash continues to make headlines as much as the character himself would in Central City. Despite the doubling down on marketing and hype that Warner Bros. pushed on the scarlet speedster, The Flash proceeds to grow in infamy from its pre-release controversy to its poor box office performance. The comic book film is reportedly taking a sharp 71% drop in just its second week after an already dismal opening. It is said to be doing less business than this year’s already notorious DC flop, Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
Although it seems that things couldn’t get worse for the film, ScreenRant reports that the entirety of The Flash had leaked online and was posted to Twitter. The video was posted to the now-suspended Twitter account, @BriYoshFR, and stayed up for around eight hours and garnered 1.7 million views before it inevitably got taken down.
