- Nudity in bath is seen.
- Three men bathe naked in a pond splashing water at each other and then run around naked when they are caught off guard by a party of two women and a man. Their penises are clearly visible. The whole scene is completely non-sexual and is played for laughs.
- George nuzzles at Lucy's breasts in their hotel room, both are fully clothed.

- Many of the male characters smoke cigarettes and pipes, common in the early 1900's. None of the women smoke, although Lucy and Eleanor certainly would have. Wine is a common beverage, especially in the scenes set in Italy.
