Everything points to you-know-who making his official MCU Canon debut in this show. I for one can not wait! Everyone who hasn't seen Daredevil should definitely watch at least season one to get the full impact of this character's arrival!

Another amazing episode
harry-345181 December 2021
This episode is very strong with a maya lopez origin story that introduces a big upcoming mcu player. We get hints of a certain man showing up in the future and overall the chase scenes in this episode where really fun however I felt the cgi wasn't great and the cliffhanger ending lacked a cliff hangers.this episode made me see why we are getting an echo show marvel has an upcoming star in new comer alaqua cox.

SWEET.
MandalBros-51 December 2021
After watching 3 episodes, I can say that 'Hawkeye' is one of the most sweetest things we've got from MCU. But, sad thing is that we've to wait one long week for more.

This episode also reminded me of 'Daredevil', that black coat, one take action sequence and the red lightening. We're surely getting some big surprises in the upcoming episodes.

Stunningly amazing episode
namob-436731 December 2021
Now this, THIS, is how you make a superhero TV episode. As far as superhero TV goes this is one of the best of all time. Absolute fantastic, and my hat and socks off to everyone involved.

Acting fantastic, even Hailee whom I have criticised a bit here show how great of an actress she is. Probably feeling more comfortable in the role. Directing stunningly done, camera work and CGi and action is just completely out of the park in another dimension. I was laughing and following with during the entire time. Pacing spot on. Such a fantastic delivery all throughout.

Maybe I am still high from seeing this, but I feel compelled to give this a 10/10. The only TV shows that have scored that high in my book the past few years before this is The Expanse and the fantastic Agents of Shield. That is how good this episode was.

Highly recommend this show (so far) and this episode is beyond great.

Something fresh and new!
wetmars3 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
At this point, Hawkeye is the most charming MCU Content out there. Sorry for the confusion if you already read my previous review. The villain was not Yelena. I was mistaken by judging their similar facial features. Here we get a backstory of how Echo came to be. She was deaf from the start. (( Oh wow, both she and Hawkeye have a lot in common! Am I right, guys. )) From my perspective of Echo's father, he does seem to be a good dad taking care of her daughter who's deaf, sending her to a karate academy to defend herself from others. We get a time-skip during the Five Year period where Ronin was quite active in Tokyo. He killed her dad which triggers her to have revenge on whoever killed him.

Back in the present day, Clint & Kate are still captured in what seems to be an abandoned store. A lot of fun interactions here that make the Tracksuit Mafia have an actual character to them which I do appreciate. God, I already love Kate's character. Looks like Imagine Dragons is still a thing in 2024. As much I am not into modern music, you do you. Echo comes out of her room to interrogate the two of them. Sadly, the two don't even know how to interact with sign language. So a random guy comes to help. "So Ronin is dead, and the person who killed him is dead." I love how this makes sense in some aspects like Natasha stopped Ronin from his killing spree. If you are still confused, think it of like where Obi-Wan responds to Luke how did his father die. "A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights. He betrayed and murdered your father." But anyway, we are not here for Star Wars.

Eventually, Clint escapes by breaking his duct-tape restraints and making a run for it to get his bow and arrow. We get a fun action scene where Clint does the usual with his bow until Echo ruins the fun, AND SMASHES HIS HEARING AID INTO BITS. Clint then rescues Kate to escape and hijack a nice-looking 70s car. At this point, this part is my favorite scene of the whole episode. It's loads of fun & action with Christmas Music where we have a fun dynamic between Kate still is talking to Hawkeye with the acknowledge that he can't hear her, lol. There is a lot of gorgeous shots of the city. (( Thanks, 4k TV! )) That part with the Pym Particle arrow was so unexpected and awesome. In the end, Kate and Clint jump from a bridge using some grappling hook under the bridge, entering a train to return to the apartment. I have to say the phone call between Clint and his son was so heartwarming as Kate was helping him by herself writing on a notepad what he was saying. Much later on, Kate investigates someone by hijacking her mother's laptop only to get her account locked out. Clint hears a noise and leaves to investigate only to be caught by the guy who is wielding his sword.

Overall, this is loads of fun with character dynamics, great action, etc. I have no further words on this. I LOVE THIS SHOW SO GOD DAMN MUCH! Also from the flashbacks. I am certain that guy with the big hand was Kingpin. According to my research which I didn't know is that Echo is the daughter of Kingpin which explains the references of "the leader".

10/10.

This episode is hilarious and Kate gets to blow a lot of $h!t up. Echo proves just how dangerous she can be and who is this "Uncle?" Is that who I think it is from DD? Sure sounded like him. This show keeps getting better and better! Best episode yet.

Jeremy Renner, The Show runner.
arpanpix2 December 2021
This episode truely stands out on the fact that Hawkeye is no doubt the best underrated Avenger. And if I'm gonna talk about Jeremy Renner, he is one hell of an actor, God! He always overwhelms with his performance may it be a drama-mystery series or a superhero performance. He nailed it in everywhere... Lots of love to him.

But yeah, a little bit issue with special effects caught my eyes, in this episode. I don't know why Marvel avoided these nuance of problems which are critically hard to find in their workbook throughout all these years.

Good job Marvel Studios
pinobarbaritano-448401 December 2021
I'd consider myself a huge MCU Critic and nowadays most of there projects end up in huge generic cgi fights. Don't get this the wrong way: I really hope Hawkeye will end in a good action sequence (but in a way like the John Wick Movies did). This episode all in all showed me that there is a will. Good filmed fight scenes that are not getting massacred in the shell editing room. A brilliant chemistry between Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld is able to bring A lot of heartwarming moments and a good laugh. And all in all In would say I really have an good time with the first 3 epsiodes so far. Only minus: i think the plot should move maybe a bit faster but I'm definetly invested into finding out more and I'm looking forward to the next episode :D.

A BIT BETTER
alcantaraj-165948 December 2021
Despite being a bit better than the previous episode thanks to the action and Echo, the plot of the third episode of Hawkeye is still boring and I don't like the chemistry between the leads.

Marvel for TV
Couchkik201 December 2021
Sadly Hawkeye is nothing more than a prestige version of those Netflix Marvel shows that used to bore the hell out of me, actually Daredevil was much more graphic and cinematic than this. It's well filmed, with a great cast and that's it.

The fights are clumsy and boring, the villains completely forgettable, the jokes terrible and the twists beyond predictable. The series would work better as an adult drama with a proper grim Hawkeye and you feel Jeremy Renner is begging for it. But Hailey Steinfeld's character turns the show into something so Disney Channel it's painful. When she gets her own show it will just be the Hannah Montana of crossbow and that's fine because there is an audience for that. But Hawkeye is stretched between two vibes and none are working.

He should be a rough loner à la Wolverine, not some co-parenting vigilante!

So much caring
tristan_191 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I love this show. It's so emotional, deep and it cares for its characters and the viewers. Echo's backstory is poignant and really sad. Clint talking with his son is meaningful. We also get a really fun chase and action scene on the road. The duo Hawkeye - Kate Bishop is really growing into a partnership. I'm excited to see the next episode !

A nearly flawless piece of Marvel
paul-wheeldon1 December 2021
Jeremy Renner gets to bring his acting chops to bear as we take a peek into the mental status of Hawkeye, so much communication with so few words and a maybe, maybe not, cameo that will have Marvel aficionados rubbing their hands with glee.

Best episode so far
SureCommaNot1 December 2021
So many times, when a character gets their own show/movie, the character suddenly gets flattened and less interesting, such that the story happens around them, rather than that character remaining a compelling, fleshed-out catalyst. Loki and Black Panther are two prime examples.

But here we see Hawkeye, and the new antagonist and protagonist alike, all three getting appropriate depth, nuance, and narrative time. I say bravo, Hawkeye. And that opening sequence moved me just as much as UP's did.

And while the action sequences felt very made-for-TV, I loved them. The camera work, choreography, special effects and directorship all came together with such force and beauty. That alone makes me want to watch the episode again, and I can't remember the last time an action sequence made me say that.

Can't wait to see what happens with the mother, with pizza dog, with the mysterious uncle, and of course Natasha's sister.

Amazing episode
kaleem_0919831 December 2021
Don't listen to these naysayers. They don't know what they are talking about. Specially these 5 or 4 outta ten ones. Specifically the one that says Disney woke fest. This person doesn't know what he is talking about. It's a great episode and don't listen to any youtube channel saying this show is woke. It's not. The episode was amazing. The kid maya is the cutest.

Best episode so far!
sanjiblkw1 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Out of the 3 episodes that has been released, this one is my favorite. Action sequences were much longer and many scenes gave Netflix's Daredevil vibe. Acting was top notch. Echo was great, her backstory was shown beautifully.

And, Echo's uncle 👀...... Let's hope 🙏

A Stir of Echoes
GomezAddams6662 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
And there you have it, folks. Echo is here, and she kicks ass.

Alaqua Cox is magnificent as Maya Lopes/Echo. I love the fact that this series gave her a meaningful backstory, and it has successfully set up a relative of hers who might be an imposing force to be reckoned with.

In this brilliant episode, Clint's past as Ronin will come back to hunt him, and Kate has managed to put herself in the crosshairs of a woman on a path of vengeance, another prefect entry on this amazing series.

Step up
Menzies961 December 2021
I've not really cared for this series so far (and still have my reservations) but this was the fun time I expected from the show with some entertaining, outlandish set pieces. The titular character still remains to be the worst thing about his own show but the introduction of Echo has me interested enough to stick with it.

A Good show with less flaws is rare now a days.
ahmxii2 December 2021
Hawkeye hits the half-way mark with its strongest episode so far. By sidelining Kate's family issues for a moment, all the best components established in the premiere are able to shine. Clint and Kate's dynamic continues to be a delight and gets even more room to develop as their feud with the Tracksuit Mafia deepens. While the light and goofy tone continues (as it rightfully should, as it's Hawkeye's festive-flavoured MO) complexity is offered by the addition of Maya and an admirable exploration of deafness. And with the addition of the MCU's best archery action sequence yet, Hawkeye is very much on target.

Echoes
Prismark1031 December 2021
The third episode introduces Maya also known as Echo.

She is after the Ronin as she blames him for murdering her father. Maya is shocked to learn that Ronin is a teenage girl.

Although not knowing just when Maya's father died. You have to wonder just how Maya thinks Kate could have killed him. Ronin has been around for a while.

The episode had a terrific action sequence involving Clint and Kate trying to flee Maya and her gang.

Clint shows off his range of arrows, one being a plunger.

There was also an exploration of both Maya's and Clint's deafness.

I did think once the action scenes were done. It was rather mundane.

Weakest episode so far
stix2dabeat3 December 2021
I hope this third installment is not a sign of a backslide. Very hokey and almost slapstick. The high ratings must be coming from the younger set with unrefined knowledge of what professional action sequences should look like. The "special arrows" were especially juvenile. I liked the first two episodes a lot. This one was campy and did not hold my interest. Hoping this series gets back in its groove.

Very enjoyable episode
snoozejonc8 January 2022
Clint and Kate do battle with the Tracksuit Mafia.

This is a strong episode with some quite inventive scenes.

It starts with a decent bit of character exposition done with a good visual sequence before returning to the present with some fantastic action scenes.

Showing the perspective of characters with hearing impairments is brilliantly done. This style feels plausible, it is consistent and I enjoyed how it is incorporated into both the action and the more emotional moments.

Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld are on great form.

The production values are top drawer, particularly the action sequences. I usually hate the action movie clichè of the car chase, but this one is very good.

Getting close to great
korenandkoren1 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 3 is by far the best episode in the series. Explaining echo's backstory and giving Clint a bit more character than 'I'm old and annoyed'.

A bit of teases with the "person higher than Maya" which makes me excited.

Ending feels like they just took and episode and sliced it in two because it is incredibly anticlimactic. Other than that, Great episode! Excited for ep. 4.
