Eastern grieving
Kirpianuscus30 December 2021
In a village from Moldova Republic, a venerable woman dies. The funerals for her is prepaired. After the storm of night, the way of villagers - relatives and friends/ neighbours to cemetery. Songs and wine, beautiful images and precise portrait of a world maybe too exotic to eccentric for other cultural spaces.

The star - the young Anisoara, granddaughter of decesed lady. She is the girl with wine, reminding the characters of Andrei Tarkovski. Not surprising , because the film seems be a sort of embroidery of different Eastern cinema influences, from Kusturita and Paradjanov to Abuladze and Tarkovski. Portrait of a perspective about death, so profound definition of East. Beautiful, dry and inspired opened window to a traditional world, in its traditions, habits , answers to reality challenges.
