'Like' father
sesht16 February 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Viewed as part of the lineup in the 2016 myFrenchfilmfestival.com contenders in competition.

1 night (and the morning after) in the life of a father and son, that hints at a strained relationship, with complexities surrounding the son's acceptance of the father's cavalier nature spilling into his own life.

Not as filled with dread as 'Errance', but this one also hints at the proceedings threatening to devolve anytime into a flurry of violence, in spite of treading (not always) within designated 'safe' zones, as far as cinematic liberties are concerned.

Definitely worth a watch, with some solid performances anchoring the tale.

a relation

Inspired use of ambiguity of a relation , a night and a morning as steps to reveale a complicated relation, a direct and precise portrait of fatherhood and its colapse . Admirable performances, great structure of story.
