A Unique Show

Few programs maintain the comedy while reflecting real life issues and drama, this one does. A good storyline with great comedy used to make points and keep the viewer intrigued, probably deserves a lot more attention and praise.

Great show but what happened to their daughter in this whole series?

A great finale to a great show. Bravo. Just one question, what happened to their baby daughter in this whole series? She just sort of disappeared, apart from a couple of glimpses. Real babies don't work that way, they are VERY present! The baby in the car in the final scene looked like a doll. Playing 'spot the missing baby' distracted me from this otherwise fantastic show. Again though, bravo!

Disappointing

Warning: Spoilers
# spoiler alert #. I love this show. My wife and I enjoyed most of the episodes, but I thought the last one wasn't very good. I didn't like how Rob went off on Sharon and then the next day, she apologises. It's just wrong on so many levels. And then the very ending. I know it's fiction, but I can't believe any husband doing what he did. I don't buy all the metaphor for their marriage stuff. I thought it was the wrong way to end the show.

What a let down

A finale should leave wondering what's next. They both treated each other so badly in the end just to have them hugging left me angry.

What a jerk

Warning: Spoilers
Rob became a total a** in the final season. His behavior was despicable and deplorable. He clearly needed therapy and some kind of anger management training. I suppose the show was supposed to be like "real life," but who wants to watch someone who behaves like that? And the way he talks to Sharon at the end (about taking her children) was beyond the pale. I couldn't believe she was willing to stay w/him after that. I hope the custody laws in the UK favor the mother and that she runs away from him! Although what kind of parents would leave their kids in a car while they swim in a body of water where swimming is not permitted. I was glad that their friends made up in the end. Hopefully, they worked it out!

Really? This is set in the UK

This episode is set in Whitstable. And you can also recognise Stansted at the beginning. It's embarrassing how they try to pass an obviously British town for an American one year tossing US flags everywhere. Everything screams U.K. - from the streets pavements to the beach (have you not seen the groynes??? You can't find them anywhere else in the universe made like that). It's an insult to the viewers' intelligence.
